Staff Software Development Engineer

The company is growing and is hiring a Staff Software Development Engineer to help improve its Altium products.

The company is a global software company headquartered in San Diego, California, and is part of a larger group. Its cloud-based platform connects every stakeholder in electronics development, from PCB designers to supply chain and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and carefully test low-level code, such as computational geometry and algorithms, and high-level code, such as application and business logic, for the company's products.
• Create new algorithms and the specifications behind them, which become the foundation of the company's software.
• Maintain and support existing source code across several products so they keep performing well in the market.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of software development experience.
• Strong C skills, including.NET Framework and.NET Core.
• Delphi experience is a definite advantage.
• Apply modern programming techniques and patterns to your work.
• Improve performance and memory use with tools such as PerfView, the Microsoft Visual Studio Profiler and RenderDoc, though other tools are also welcome.
• Write efficient, compact code that runs across platforms.
• Understand algorithms and data structures well, and have practical experience analysing complexity.
• Design modular solutions that are easy to extend as the product grows.
• Communicate clearly in English, in writing and verbally, in a professional setting.
• Additional advantage: familiarity with CAD tools.
