Description

The company is a cloud security business listed on Nasdaq. Its Zero Trust Exchange platform protects thousands of customers from cyberattacks and data loss by connecting users, devices and applications from any location.

The platform runs across more than 200 public data centers worldwide and thousands of private edge sites, making it the largest in-line cloud security platform of its kind.

This is a hybrid Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Federal) role in Crystal City, Virginia, in the Government Cloud department. You will report to the Manager, Site Reliability Engineering and join the team that builds the company's cloud security platform and keeps its multitenant architecture leading in the field, including its work in classified environments.

  • Build scripts, containerized services and monitoring to automate operational work and reduce service disruption
  • Create new services and improve existing ones inside classified environments, promoting DevOps practices through documentation and escalation management

Requirements

  • You are comfortable working without a clear map and can build the path as you go, treating uncertainty as material to build with

  • You enjoy tackling hard problems and focus on finding solutions, since those carry the biggest impact
  • You work well with others, care about the team's success, and give and take candid feedback with clarity and respect
  • You are eager to learn, actively seek feedback and want to grow as a partner and teammate
  • You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least 5 years of Site Reliability Engineering experience across both operations and engineering
  • You hold an active US Government Secret security clearance and must keep it to stay employed
  • You are skilled in Linux administration, network troubleshooting, and automation with Ansible and Terraform
  • You code well in Python and work with container architectures such as AWS ECS and Kubernetes, including vulnerability scanning, patch management and reporting
  • You have a working understanding of AI and ML technologies and have used, secured or proposed AI-driven solutions to improve results in your field
  • Preferred: experience deploying or managing AI-driven observability and AIOps tools for predictive anomaly detection and automated incident response in cloud infrastructure
  • Preferred: experience running monthly monitoring programs in air-gapped and classified environments
  • Preferred: familiarity with High or Moderate FedRAMP authorization levels and their compliance requirements, an Information Assurance Technician Level 2 certification, or a Top Secret clearance
