Description

The company uses a primary care tool that supports physicians in delivering better outcomes at lower cost through earlier diagnosis and ongoing management of chronic conditions.

The hire is a Staff Product Manager who owns the longitudinal patient record, a single view of each patient's care across primary care, specialists, and hospital stays. Every product the company builds relies on this record.

Data arrives from hundreds of sources, such as health information exchanges, EHRs, labs, ADT feeds, pharmacy fills, prior authorizations, and health plan claims. Each source captures a piece of care, and the record joins them into one history of visits, conditions, medications, and results.

The AI systems read the same record, so better record quality directly widens what they can reliably do. This work depends on clear clinical definitions, solid data modeling, and AI for scale tasks like document classification and linking records across sources.

The role reports to the Director of Product, Clinical Data Products and leads the Longitudinal Patient Record pod, working closely with engineering, clinicians, and data consumers across the company.

Responsibilities

  • Set the vision and roadmap for the record, find the highest-value problems across dependent products and programs, and decide the trade-offs among completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and investment.
  • Define how care events and their dates, settings, providers, and facilities are represented consistently, and how medications, conditions, labs, and procedures link to those events and to the patient's history over time.
  • Write clinically grounded rules for merging sources that describe the same care, so every fact can be traced to its evidence.
  • Own one record per hospitalization, ED visit, and post-discharge care management, built from ADT notices, prior authorization and admission notices, facility claims, medical records especially discharge documents, and discharge destination, so the whole stay is visible from admission to the next care setting.
  • Serve point-of-care providers and the programs that need full care history, including HEDIS quality measurement, risk adjustment and RADV audits, payment integrity, and revenue operations, all from one shared history.
  • Own patient matching, deduplication, normalization, and clinical terminology mapping for every incoming source, building each improvement once for reuse across products.
  • Take definitions through adoption: write requirements, plan the migration for each use case, and retire fragmented duplicate versions of the same data.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of product management, including ownership of a data platform, data model, or shared data product used by several teams.
  • Experience setting strategy for a platform with many internal consumers and making the trade-offs that came with it.
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare data and its clinical use, including institutional and professional claims, C-CDA, FHIR resources, ADT feeds, and lab data, with a clear sense of what each covers and where the gaps are.
  • Experience defining canonical or master data (patient, provider, facility, encounter, clinical concepts) and getting other teams to adopt it.
  • Hands-on data work: reviewing charts, investigating discrepancies, running analyses, and testing definitions against real records before release. You use AI to speed this up and know how to validate its output.
  • A track record of leading cross-functional projects through influence across engineering, clinical, and operations teams you do not manage.
  • Examples of data work you owned that drove a business result, such as a missed clinical outcome caught, duplicate care avoided, or physician time saved from chasing portals.
