Description

The company makes a primary care tool that helps primary care physicians catch conditions early and manage chronic disease over time, aiming for better patient outcomes at lower cost.

The design team takes on problems with no existing answer, building new interaction patterns and visual systems from the ground up and pairing close personal care with modern technology.

This role sits on the design leadership team and covers the whole product suite. You will shape the user experience and work with cross-functional partners so products stay intuitive, user-centered and tied to business goals.

The effort began in 2018 with a goal of building an AI-enabled solution that fits into physicians' workflows to support earlier diagnosis and management of chronic conditions. Thousands of practitioners now use it during patient visits. The company is a subsidiary of a larger parent company.

If you are a design leader who wants to build products that make a real difference, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the move of consumer-grade experiences into enterprise healthcare, raising design quality and taste.
  • Explore and define problem areas that have no clear answer yet, and find new solutions to complex user and business challenges.
  • Own large-scale design projects, using rapid prototyping and quick learning cycles to ship scalable solutions.
  • Bring specialised expertise that lifts overall design quality and produces breakthrough experiences.
  • Show mastery, strategic thinking and confidence in making sound design decisions.
  • Champion design excellence across the organisation, influencing cross-functional teams toward high-impact work.
  • Within your first 90 days, work with senior engineering on several prototype iterations that reach real users, improve the user experience, and build ML features into the design with leadership and data science teams.
  • By six months, bring next-generation patterns into the workflows of other designers and product managers, add them to the Design System as a member of its team, retire or update outdated patterns, and balance refining new experiences with launching new projects.
  • Over the long term, lead exploration projects with major potential, work with senior leadership and data science on strategic design direction, and keep raising standards as a key contributor to the Design System.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of in-house design experience, including working independently with senior technical teams and building complex features such as ML into consumer-level, best-in-class experiences.
  • A portfolio showing advanced interaction and visual design and a record of outstanding, next-level user experiences.
  • Strategic thinking and experience leading early-stage exploration projects with high potential value.
  • A proven record of handling conflicting stakeholder feedback and turning it into cohesive, innovative solutions.
  • Experience working with design systems, contributing to and maintaining high-quality, scalable standards.
  • A natural leader who enjoys sharing knowledge and helping the team's design skills grow.
  • Healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
