Description

About the Role

Join an early-stage legal AI team as its first product manager, owning the strategy and roadmap for an AI-powered enterprise contracting platform. This founding-level role partners closely with engineering and customer-facing legal specialists to take the product from zero to one.

Responsibilities

  • Own product strategy and the roadmap, making clear decisions about priorities and tradeoffs.
  • Gather and synthesize customer feedback from legal specialists working directly with customers.
  • Work with engineering to scope deliverables and adapt planning to AI-assisted development cycles.
  • Discuss AI and agent architecture tradeoffs with engineers and rapidly prototype product ideas.
  • Build foundational product practices for prioritization, documentation, launches, and success measurement.

Requirements

  • Five to ten years of product management experience on AI-focused engineering teams, with ownership of product roadmaps.
  • Experience shipping technically complex AI or LLM products to production, including work with agentic systems, evaluations, latency, model behavior, and context.
  • Background in B2B SaaS or AI-native products, with experience at an early-stage startup, as a founder, or as a first product manager.
  • Strong technical collaboration skills and the ability to scope work realistically with engineers.
  • Hands-on experience prototyping with AI developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor; SQL or coding-agent experience for product analysis is useful.
  • Experience building customer-facing products beyond internal tools, HR workflows, and APIs or integrations.

Conditions

Base salary: $180,000 to $250,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.

On-site in New York, New York.
