Description

The company is a global media and entertainment business with three segments: Studios, Direct-to-Consumer and TV Media.

The role sits in New Business, the division growing beyond traditional news, and you will help shape the future of digital shopping guidance.

You will own the full user journey for the next version of the shopping guidance product, from the first moment someone looks for a purchase through the decision and after.

You will work with talented teams that move quickly and aim high.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full user lifecycle so that each stage feels seamless, deliberate and worthwhile.
  • Study user segments, shopping habits and the alternatives people already use. Run ongoing qualitative and quantitative research to find friction and design around how users think.
  • Work with Design, UX Research, Engineering and Editorial leads to turn insights into product hypotheses, wireframes and scalable solutions. Guide the team through strategic areas that are complex and unclear.
  • Set core performance metrics that weigh business goals against real user value, so people trust the product and keep coming back.
  • Write product briefs, user stories and other documentation to keep the team aligned. Help run team ceremonies to keep work on track.
  • Lead the MVP launch and iterate on it based on user and business needs.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of consumer-facing product management, including leading complex, ambiguous customer problems, especially in shopping, commerce, decision-making or loyalty.
  • A track record of taking a product or major business line through discovery, strategy, UX, launch and iteration, not just isolated features.
  • Deep skill in user research, persona development and Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks, with evidence to explain who your users are and why they behave as they do.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous, zero-to-one or fast-changing settings such as scale-ups, agile media platforms or dedicated product pods, where you lead across functions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work well with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Experience with editorial partners and an interest in content, formats and storytelling.
  • A strategic thinker who balances user needs with business goals and is comfortable with ambiguity and new product areas.

Conditions

Base pay range: $133,000.00 to $247,000.00 per year, disclosed in line with local law.

Actual pay depends on location, external market data, internal equity, skill set, experience, training, education and performance.

Qualified candidates with a disability may request adjustments or accommodations during recruitment.

Benefits

  • Annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives and program-specific awards.
  • Health insurance coverage.
  • Employee wellness program.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • Retirement savings plan.
  • Paid holidays, sick time and vacation.
