Description

The Bankers Almanac product team at the company is building the next generation of counterparty due diligence tools for financial institutions, using AI, automation, and advanced data.

The team helps banks find, assess, and manage counterparty risk, with the goal of better compliance, efficiency, and customer outcomes.

The team moves quickly, running frequent experiments and releasing work in small iterations. It works with technology, design, data science, sales, marketing, strategy, and executive leaders.

The company is a risk assessment provider. Its Business Services division sells tools for anti-money laundering and counter terrorist financing, identity verification, fraud and credit risk, and customer data management.

This senior role leads all UX work for KYC Orchestrator and acts as the main user advocate on the product team. You will work with product management, UX research, engineering, data science, architecture, and business stakeholders to learn what customers need and design solutions.

You will join early, learning how customers work, exploring key use cases, building and testing concepts, and turning what you learn into design recommendations.

The work involves complex, changing problems. You will pair customer-focused thinking with hands-on design and use research and product evidence to decide direction, and you will help partners understand users better.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end UX for KYC Orchestrator, from customer discovery and concept work through to implementation.
  • Turn complex KYC data, risk signals, evidence, and investigation workflows into experiences that are easy to understand and act on.
  • Produce customer journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, design patterns, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Design and explore AI-assisted features that offer clear transparency, visible evidence, human review, and user control.
  • Work with product management and customers on interviews, workflow analysis, concept tests, and usability studies.
  • Use customer feedback, research, analytics, and product data to confirm problems and keep improving solutions.
  • Work closely with product, engineering, research, and other stakeholders to weigh customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints.
  • Lead design reviews and present concepts, research findings, recommendations, and tradeoffs to technical and business audiences.

Requirements

  • You have worked in UX, product, interaction, or a related design role.
  • You have designed complex digital products, SaaS platforms, enterprise applications, or workflow-driven systems.
  • You have led UX for products, features, or major initiatives.
  • You are strong in interaction design, information architecture, prototyping, user flows, wireframing, and high-fidelity design.
  • You are proficient in Figma and familiar with current design tools and methods.
  • You have turned customer research, feedback, analytics, and product insights into working design solutions.
  • You communicate, present, and facilitate well and collaborate across functions.
  • You bring a portfolio that shows customer-centered problem solving, design execution, iteration, and teamwork.
  • Preferred: experience with data-rich, configurable, or workflow-intensive products.
  • Preferred: experience with compliance, risk, financial services, investigations, or decision-support solutions.
  • Preferred: experience designing AI-assisted, generative AI, conversational, or agent-supported experiences.
  • Preferred: familiarity with responsible AI principles, including transparency, source visibility, human review, and user control.
  • Preferred: experience taking new products from customer discovery through validation and delivery.
  • Preferred: familiarity with Agile or lean product development, design systems, and reusable components.
  • A portfolio is required. Include case studies showing how you understand customer problems, design complex product experiences, iterate through research and testing, work with product management and engineering, and carry designs through implementation.
