Sr. Systems Engineer

This Senior Systems Engineer role supports U.S. Pacific Command (USPACOM) J6 on engineering, modernization and sustainment, with a focus on Mission Partner Environment (MPE) systems engineering for U.S. forces and mission partners across the Pacific region.

You will work directly with government stakeholders and multidisciplinary engineers to turn operational priorities into technical outcomes that can be built and run.

Requisition type is regular. Secret clearance must be currently held. Public Trust or other clearance is not required. Job family is IT Infrastructure and Operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out systems engineering, integration and sustainment work on MPE infrastructure and mission command and C2 enabling services.
• Turn approved operational requirements into system designs, interface specifications, build procedures, test cases and deployment documents.
• Connect servers, virtualization, identity, storage, communications and supporting infrastructure to enterprise and coalition environments.
• Troubleshoot engineering problems, run integration tests, assess technical risk and support the move into operations.
• Manage configuration-controlled changes and produce as-built diagrams, acceptance evidence and engineering documentation that others can maintain.

Requirements

• Experience in C2 systems, IT systems integration and virtualization.
• 6+ years of related experience, or a BA/BS or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant technical experience. Without a degree, you need 9+ years of experience. A degree can be replaced by 3 years of experience.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.
• Strong skills in systems integration, servers and infrastructure, C2 system support, requirements analysis and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate with government stakeholders, write clear engineering documents, judge risk and coordinate with cyber, engineering and operations teams.
• Preferred: experience with virtualization, identity services, MPE integration, deployment automation and RMF/STIG.
• Preferred: experience with combatant commands, joint operations, service components, and coalition or mission partner environments.

Conditions

Onsite role in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii (JBPH-H). No travel required.

Full-time, 40 scheduled hours per week. Work is onsite only.

The likely salary range is $123,250 to $166,750. Actual pay depends on experience, location and possibly contract terms, and may fall outside this range.
