Description

The company builds and connects technologies that help protect people, property and places, with a focus on collaboration that supports safer communities, schools, hospitals, businesses and nations.

Voice is essential to frontline teams. Firefighters, police and EMS depend on rugged radios and a network that is always available, and utility crews, transit operators, plant workers and campus security rely on the company's infrastructure for the same reason.

The team builds radio console products and APIs that connect audio to dispatch centers, operations centers and AI agents.

This is a general manager style role. You will own a mature and growing $XXM+ radio consoles product line and lead a shift in both product and business model. You will set strategy, own commercial results and lead engineering, design, sales and support, often without direct authority. It is a highly visible position in one of the company's most strategic areas.

The ideal person thinks AI first, builds structure and process naturally, and enjoys competing to win in fast-changing markets.

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term strategy for the public safety and enterprise businesses, working with stakeholders across the company's functional groups.
  • Question core assumptions about packaging, pricing and selling, including a move to subscriptions with tiered upsell and cross-sell paths to other company products.
  • Grow top-line revenue with enterprise go-to-market teams and channel partners, aligning incentives so the company's products are the obvious choice over third-party options.
  • Hire, develop and lead a team of product leaders, and redesign how the team works for an AI-native environment.
  • Write decision memos, evaluation plans and launch playbooks before anything else so people stay aligned and AI agents and copilots have the context to scale output.
  • Own the portfolio from idea to launch alongside engineering and design. Set measurable goals and stop products and features that do not advance strategic or commercial results.
  • Bridge the company's nearly 100-year-old business with its fast-moving software and AI portfolio, finding ways to move quicker and remove customer obstacles.
  • Define the APIs and platform boundaries that let internal teams and third parties build on the voice stack without weakening reliability or security. Decide what to build and where to partner across customer workflows.

Requirements

  • 6+ years in product leadership, including leading other product leaders and owning revenue or P&L outcomes.
  • A record of scaling software sold through complex, multi-tier procurement, ideally in enterprise, public safety or other regulated markets.
  • Experience with channel and partner go-to-market, and with changing pricing or business models in enterprise software.
  • You build by hand, prototyping and testing ideas with Claude and Cursor, even if you are not a full-time engineer.
  • Strong product judgment, customer empathy and technical fluency, and a habit of working closely with UX.
  • You write clearly and communicate well enough to align people and get them to act across functions.
  • Enterprise or channel experience is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to about 30% for customer engagement, user research and cross-functional work.
  • You are based in the U.S. and authorized to work there without sponsorship.

Conditions

Target base salary is $180,000 to $195,000 USD. Pay varies with job-related knowledge, skills and experience, and the final offer depends on the individual candidate.

Travel is listed as under 25%.

Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available.

No relocation support is provided.

This is an experienced-level position with a referral payment plan.

The company is an equal opportunity employer.
