Product Manager (m/f/d) – Autonomous Asset Management | Asset Investment Planning

Description

You will join the Industry AI unit for Energy and Natural Resources in Munich, a growing team building Autonomous Asset Management.

The team creates agentic AI templates and reusable components that help asset-intensive industries assess and rank major capital investments across the asset lifecycle.

The company has spent more than 50 years providing business applications and AI, combining operations in finance, procurement, HR, supply chain and customer experience.

The role is a product management position for Asset Investment Planning, and the unit is expanding.

Responsibilities

• Own the full life of Asset Investment Planning templates and reusables, from initial discovery through ongoing improvement, working closely with a team of engineers.
• Set the vision, scope and priorities for templates that combine agentic AI, intelligent automation and advanced optimization.
• Build working prototypes with generative AI and low-code tools to test value hypotheses with customers early.
• Spot recurring customer problems and turn them into business workflows, decision criteria and enterprise data requirements.
• Agree measurable success criteria with customers, such as risk-adjusted portfolio value, planning effort or expected lifecycle costs, and use feedback and usage data to make the solutions more reusable.
• Work with product, platform, AI and delivery teams to grow emerging AI capabilities into enterprise-ready reusables.

Requirements

• You prototype AI solutions quickly and turn complex industry challenges into scalable, reusable products.
• You have a track record of rapid AI prototyping, shown through concrete examples, iterative validation and a critical review of outputs.
• You have hands-on product management experience turning customer needs into reusable solutions, and you understand technology well enough to work effectively with engineers.
• You have a solid grasp of agentic AI, context engineering, quality assurance for AI outputs and AI-assisted automation.
• You understand governance, security, compliance, privacy and responsible data handling.
• You are analytical, customer-focused and communicate clearly, with excellent English.
• You think strategically, understand the business and can bring others along, using influence, emotional intelligence and confidence when working through complex problems.
• You are comfortable using AI tools, including agentic AI, in your daily work, from writing effective inputs and automating routine tasks to checking AI output quality and encouraging your team to adopt AI practices.
• Experience in asset management or other asset-intensive industries is a plus.
