Space Mission Ground Simulator - Principal / Sr Principal Systems Engineer (AHT)

Description

The company builds space systems for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions, both classified and unclassified, and handles the full design lifecycle on site, from sensors and payloads to complete spacecraft, for Class A through Class D missions.

You would join the Eastern Region Systems Engineering, Integration and Test group, working on concept and product development across mission engineering, requirements, architecture, modeling and simulation, integration and test, verification, and validation.

The team is hiring a Systems Engineer in Linthicum, Maryland to develop and maintain a MATLAB-based Mission Ground Simulator for the Space Radar Payload programs, covering development, production and on-orbit operations.

The role can be filled at Principal or Senior Principal level, depending on the qualifications you hold.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the MATLAB ground simulation for the Mission Ground Simulator, covering thermal, power, radar tasking, ground interfaces and tasking decomposition.
• Write Mathematical Algorithm Requirement Specifications (MARS) that drive development of the Mission Ground Simulator and ground systems.

Requirements

• For Principal Engineer: a BS in a STEM field plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a BS plus 3 years with an MS.
• For Senior Principal Engineer: a BS in a STEM field plus 8 years of relevant experience, or a BS plus 6 years with an MS.
• Proficiency in MATLAB coding.
• Knowledge of and experience with simulation performance modeling.
• An active TS clearance.

Conditions

The work is on site in a classified program area in Linthicum, Maryland.

Travel is not required.

An active TS clearance and eligibility for SCI clearance are needed to be considered.

Clearance is required before start. The clearance type is Top Secret.
