Senior Endpoint Engineer

Description

The company is hiring a Senior Endpoint Engineer for a full-time contract supporting DHS.

You would join a team of Windows cloud engineers and security specialists. The team's focus is endpoint management and server operations, and it reduces workload and speeds up deployments by automating work with scripts and by testing new and emerging technologies.

Your experience should cover Windows, Intune, Autopilot, enterprise patching, PKI and certificates, Azure Active Directory, virtualization, cloud, and scripting.

Responsibilities

• Administer and engineer Intune, including compliance policies for conditional access, application deployment, patching, management, and troubleshooting.
• Create and deploy Intune configurations, policies, and settings.
• Keep Windows workstations patched to the correct levels using Windows Update for Business.
• Maintain the baseline configurations for Windows 11 workstations.
• Support and troubleshoot Windows Autopilot.
• Find, analyze, and fix system problems, providing short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
• Package software and updates and deploy them to test and production environments.
• Build security baselines from recommendations made by the Engineering and Security teams.
• Write PowerShell scripts that automate systems administration tasks.
• Produce reports on device compliance, application deployment, patch management, and software inventory.
• Handle escalated service desk and team requests.
• Guide and lead less-experienced systems engineers.
• Communicate clearly in writing and in speech with many kinds of people, and work effectively in both small and large teams.
• Act as liaison with clients, joining meetings to make sure their needs are met.
• Take on special projects when needed.

Requirements

• Required: you must be able to attain DHS EOD.
• Required: a bachelor's degree with 10 years of applicable experience, an associate degree with 12 years of applicable experience, or 16 years of experience.
• Required: hands-on Intune experience, including software packaging and patching.
• Required: experience with Windows Autopilot.
• Required: experience with EntraID (AzureAD).
• Required: deep command of how software is packaged, tested, deployed, and fixed when it breaks.
• Required: solid PowerShell scripting skills.
• Desired: ITIL v3 or v4 certification.
• Desired: MCSE certification.
• Desired: Endpoint Administrator Associate certification (Microsoft 365).
• Desired: STIG policy experience.
• Desired: vulnerability management experience.
• Desired: cloud management experience.
• Desired: AVD management experience.

Conditions

This is a full-time, regular position on a contract supporting DHS.

No security clearance is needed to start.

No travel is required.

The proposed salary range is $113,200 - $237,800.

The final salary depends on factors such as location, federal contract labor categories and wage rates, prior experience, specific skills, education, and certifications.
