You will guide customers' technical direction for data and AI, positioning the company's platform as the base of their data and AI plans.

You pair deep technical skill with strategic thinking. Your team expects you to build depth in one domain, which you will declare as your technical specialization (archetype).

Responsibilities

• Own the technical plan for your accounts, from first discovery through production rollout and growing consumption.
• Lead demanding architecture sessions and design scalable, production-grade systems across data engineering, ML and AI, and real-time analytics.
• Act as a trusted technical adviser to customer architects, engineering leads and Directors.
• Win technical deals in competitive situations by showing custom-built solutions that set the company apart.
• Build and declare an emerging specialization (archetype), becoming the team's go-to person in that domain.
• Coordinate DSAs, SSAs and partners to deliver complete solutions for complex customer needs.
• Give structured feedback on customer requirements and competitor gaps to shape product direction.

Requirements

• Write Python and SQL code, and show live coding, debugging and solution-building skills.
• 6+ years in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical role.
• Deep knowledge of distributed data systems, including scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns and cloud-native data platforms.
• Working proficiency on the company's data platform, or the ability to reach it quickly, with a developing specialization in one area such as real-time streaming, ML and AI, data governance or migrations.
• Proven record of leading architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders through whiteboarding, design reviews and trade-off analysis.
• Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure or GCP, covering infrastructure, security and governance.
• Track record of driving platform adoption and consumption growth within accounts.
• Clear communication that turns complex architectures into business value for technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• The company certifications (Data Engineer, ML, Platform).
• Experience with competing platforms such as Snowflake, AWS native services or Azure Synapse, so you understand what you are positioning against.
• Background in a data or AI company, or a cloud provider.
• Industry domain expertise in areas such as Financial Services, Healthcare, Retail or Media.

Conditions

Local pay range: $180,000 - $247,500 USD. For non-commissionable roles this is the expected salary range, and for commissionable roles it is the on-target earnings range.

Actual pay depends on job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. The company expects to use the full width of the range.

Total compensation may include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity and the benefits listed below.
