You will own solution architecture and technical delivery for industrial data projects. You will lead engagement teams, set out solution architectures and integration strategies, and act as the main technical adviser to clients rolling out industrial data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of end-to-end industrial data solutions, including data models, integration patterns and system architectures that match business goals.
• Plan end-to-end architectures using industrial data management tools, cloud platforms and edge data ingestion technologies.
• Make sure deployed solutions are scalable, secure and performant.
• Turn client business needs into technical requirements.
• Present architectural concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Lead client-facing project implementations.
• Guide development teams through implementation.
• Oversee data ingestion, contextualization and visualization workflows.
• Build and oversee ingestion pipelines, APIs and integration services.
• Set development standards, CI/CD practices and code quality expectations.
• Serve as the primary technical adviser for clients adopting the company's industrial data solutions.
• Ensure quality assurance and compliance with best practices.
• Keep up with leading data platforms and industry trends.
• Mentor junior architects, developers and engineers.
• Share knowledge and best practices across the internal team.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Typically 6-10 years of related experience at a systems integrator or consulting organisation.
• Strong understanding of, and hands-on experience with, industrial data systems such as historians, SCADA, PLCs, MES and ERP.
• Experience leading technical teams and managing client-facing delivery.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
• Preferred, not required: 5+ years in solution architecture, data engineering or software development.
• Preferred, not required: hands-on work with Cognite Data Fusion, FactoryTalk Data Mosaix, PTC ThingWorx or similar industrial data platforms.
• Preferred, not required: cloud technologies, APIs and data modelling skills.
• Preferred, not required: Python, SQL and RESTful API experience.
• Preferred, not required: familiarity with time-series data and contextualisation techniques.
• Preferred, not required: knowledge of mining, oil and gas, manufacturing or energy industries.
• Preferred, not required: cloud or industrial data platform certifications.
• Preferred, not required: prior consulting or systems integrator experience.
• Preferred, not required: machine learning model development and MLOps practices.
• Preferred, not required: understanding of data governance, access management and cybersecurity in industrial settings.
• Preferred, not required: excellent communication skills with executive and technical stakeholders.
• Preferred, not required: experience in asset performance management, production monitoring or advanced process control.

Conditions

Hybrid work: you are expected to be at a company location on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays, unless a business obligation takes you away from the office.
