Description

The company is a global automotive supplier, and this role leads a software quality engineering team responsible for quality across the software development lifecycle.

You will manage people and combine that with software quality work: project execution, resource planning and compliance with automotive quality standards. You will work with engineering teams, customers and key stakeholders to build a Built-In Quality mindset, grow team skills and drive continuous improvement across the software organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the software quality engineering team, covering resource planning, workload, performance and career growth.
  • Plan and oversee quality activities, deliverables and schedules across assigned programs.
  • Make sure software releases meet company quality standards, customer requirements and relevant automotive quality processes.
  • Promote a Built-In Quality mindset across the development lifecycle and push for continuous improvement.
  • Track project performance, risks, defects and quality metrics, drive corrective actions and escalate critical issues when needed.
  • Oversee ASPICE activities, assessment planning and SUP.1 process improvement.
  • Grow team capability through training, knowledge sharing, competency development and retention.
  • Work with engineering teams, customers and other stakeholders to resolve quality issues and keep projects on track.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, plus automotive industry experience.
  • A solid background in software and systems development, electronic product design and automotive quality.
  • Deep knowledge of ASPICE, IATF 16949, ISO 26262 and automotive quality systems.
  • Proven leadership in team development, resource planning and managing priorities when projects change.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to question technical analyses and push for improvements.
  • Excellent English communication and stakeholder management, including direct customer work and presenting solutions or improvement plans.

Conditions

Hybrid work: at least 47 days per year remote, with flexible working hours.

The company is an equal opportunity employer.

Benefits

  • Private health insurance through Signal Iduna and life insurance covering you and your dependants.
  • Well-being program with regular webinars, workshops and networking events.
