Description

This is an internship in the engineering function, with a hybrid setup: you will spend on average 2 days per week in a company office.

The company offers the role as on-desk or hybrid, depending on location and the specific position.

The work covers designing, building, troubleshooting and debugging software for enhancements and new products, including operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases and internet tools. It also involves checking hardware compatibility and sometimes shaping hardware design.

You will work on assigned pieces of work with limited scope, using technical concepts from training, study or earlier experience. You contribute information, analysis and suggestions to your team and use your own judgment within set boundaries.

Responsibilities

  • Write new code, updates and changes for parts of systems software, such as operating systems, compilers, networking, utilities, databases and internet tools.
  • Run established test plans for your assigned code, then find, record and fix the issues you are given.
  • Build working relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software design and development.
  • Join a project team of software engineers and outside development partners to deliver reliable, cost-effective, high-quality solutions for products of low to moderate complexity.

Requirements

  • Be working toward a bachelor's and/or master's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field.
  • Have experience with, or a working understanding of, software design tools and languages.
  • Show strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Understand how to design software that runs on several platform types.
  • Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, with command of English and your local language.
  • Understand basic procedures for testing, coding and debugging.

Conditions

The role is hybrid, with an average of 2 days per week in a company office; the company welcomes applicants of all backgrounds, including people with disabilities, and makes decisions based on qualifications, merit and business need.

Benefits

  • Access to a broad set of health, financial and emotional wellbeing benefits.
  • Development programs to help you reach career goals, whether that means becoming a subject expert or moving into another division.
  • The company says it offers flexibility to balance work and personal needs.
