Keep current on relevant hardware systems, subsystems, components and related technologies, and build deep knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques in your field.
Contribute engineering work as a member of a technical team.
Handle complex work that often involves serious conflicts between engineering and management requirements, applying broad engineering principles and practices across your area and related fields.
Analyze and evaluate alternative solutions to ill-defined problems, then devise and recommend alternative standard analysis methods to solve them.
Solve problems on your own, without a walkthrough of background and approach, and without your solutions being reviewed for technical accuracy and policy conformance.
Apply deep knowledge of standard guides, precedents, methods and techniques using standard engineering practice.
Adapt practices to specific situations, adjust and correlate data, spot discrepancies and deviations in results, and follow operations through a series of detailed steps.
Collaborate actively in a team setting to plan joint work and agree on shared approaches to problems.
Coordinate and maintain liaison with organizations doing related work, including local and national government peers, commercial equipment manufacturers and commercial defense contractors.
Collect, integrate and statistically analyze system performance data from test and operational environments, organize and visualize it, and prepare briefing material for internal and external presentations and reviews.
