Description

The role sits on the cloud cost management engineering team, part of the company's IT asset management suite.

The team builds features on the company's AI platform, creating AI-native apps that help customers see and reduce what they spend on public cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable, reusable code that follows sound engineering architecture and process, including code reviews and unit testing.
• Work with product owners to clarify detailed requirements, then take your code from design and implementation through test automation to delivery for users.
• Design software that is easy to use and that customers can extend and customize for their own needs.
• Design and ship agentic and GenAI features that turn product workflows into LLM-driven experiences, building in tool use, guardrails, evals, and monitoring from the start.
• Help design and build new products and features, and improve the existing product suite.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience, or a master's degree with 2-3 years of experience, in computer science or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience with Java or a similar object-oriented language, or with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Experience applying AI to work processes, decisions, or problem-solving, such as using AI tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or assessing AI's impact on your function or industry.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs such as Anthropic and OpenAI models, including prompting for analysis, code generation, and structured outputs.
• Deep knowledge of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance and scale considerations.
• Hands-on knowledge of RDBMS and SQL.
• Passion for AI and agentic AI, including building agents with evals, observability, and cost and latency tuning.
• Bonus: exposure to public cloud providers such as AWS or Azure.
• Preferred: experience with large-data technologies such as Flink.

Base pay for this location is $125,700 to $194,800, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive compensation, and benefits.

Sales roles generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings incentive structure.

The base pay shown is a guideline. Total compensation varies with qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location, and pay depends on the geographic location of the role and may change with it.

Work personas (flexible, remote, or required in office) are assigned by the nature of the work and the employee's work location. The company may confirm the distance from your primary residence to its nearest office using a third-party service.
