Software Engineer

Description

The team builds features for the company's strategic portfolio management products, which help organizations line up work with business goals, control demand, resources and projects, and speed up delivery of products and services.

You will combine hands-on engineering with product thinking, working alongside product managers to learn what customers struggle with, help shape answers, and carry them through to release.

The role includes building AI-native features and using AI tools across design, development, testing and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for the portfolio management suite.
• Create AI-native features that use generative and agentic capabilities to strengthen planning, insights and the user experience.
• Use AI tools throughout the lifecycle for code generation, tests, debugging, documentation and reviews, and check the output for correctness, security and upkeep.
• Work with product managers to turn customer needs into scoped technical plans and balance user value, complexity and timelines.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code, automate where possible, and take part in code reviews, design reviews, releases and engineering practice improvements.
• Handle production incidents, including P1 escalations during US business hours, and lead root cause analysis and preventive fixes.
• Help improve platform security, WCAG accessibility and overall quality.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field plus 3 to 5 years of professional software engineering experience, or a master's degree in a related field plus 2 to 3 years.
• Experience using AI in your work, such as applying AI tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or assessing its effect on your function or industry.
• Hands-on experience building full stack applications with modern UX frameworks, JavaScript or TypeScript, and a server-side language such as Java or Python.
• A builder's mindset: you think like a product manager, designer, engineer and tester together, weighing user value, usability, technical design and quality risk before choosing a path.
• Proven use of AI tools such as coding assistants, LLM-based tools or AI-enabled testing to boost productivity, with good judgment on when to trust the output and when to verify it.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with product, QE and platform partners.
• Familiarity with building accessibility-compliant (WCAG) products.

Conditions

Base pay for this location is $125,700 to $160,300, plus equity when applicable, variable or incentive pay and benefits. The base pay shown is a guideline; individual total compensation depends on qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location, and it is tied to the geographic location of the role and may change with it.

Sales roles generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive structure.

Work persona is flexible, remote or required in office, assigned based on the nature of the work and the assigned work location. The company may use a third-party service to measure the distance between your primary residence and the nearest office to confirm eligibility.
