Description

The company is hiring a full stack engineer with a solid background in modern enterprise architecture and a keen interest in artificial intelligence.

You will lead AI-enabled engineering work in the company's banking technology group, supporting the M&A business line.

The ideal candidate brings deep Java, Angular, microservices and event-based skills, and can use agentic AI to build intelligent agents that tackle difficult business problems.

You will help bring AI into the company's core engineering practice as it continues its digital transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain fast, scalable and secure full stack applications in Java, Angular, microservices and event-based designs.
  • Lead the work of adding AI features to new and existing applications, with a focus on agentic AI solutions for M&A use cases.
  • Design and implement microservices and event-driven systems that tolerate failure and perform well.
  • Build responsive, easy-to-use Angular interfaces.
  • Take part in every stage of the software lifecycle, from gathering requirements and design through coding, testing, deployment and production support.
  • Champion engineering practices such as code quality, testing, CI/CD, security and documentation, and put them into use.
  • Track new tools and trends in full stack development, AI and agentic systems, and propose and adopt useful ones.
  • Coach junior developers and take part in code reviews to build a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Serve as the senior owner for environment readiness and risk.
  • Work with architecture, security, risk and business stakeholders.

Requirements

  • You have 10+ years of hands-on full stack development experience.
  • You have designed and built scalable, high-performance microservices.
  • You have worked with event-driven architectures, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • You have solid experience with modern front-end frameworks, especially Angular.
  • You have worked with AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing or other AI areas.
  • You have designed, built and deployed intelligent agents for business applications using agentic AI.
  • You are an expert in Java and TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • You have strong Java skills, including Spring Boot and Spring Cloud.
  • You understand microservices architecture principles and patterns well.
  • You have hands-on experience with message brokers and event streaming platforms, such as Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • You have worked with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB and Cassandra.
  • You have used Angular 2 or later, including NgRx or another state management pattern.
  • You have a strong grasp of HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web design.
  • You have used Docker for containers and Kubernetes for orchestration.
  • You have worked with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI or Azure DevOps.
  • You have worked with a cloud platform such as AWS, Azure or GCP and its relevant services.
  • You have deployed GenAI and LLM-enabled systems in regulated enterprise settings, covering evaluation, guardrails, monitoring and compliance.
  • You bring strong problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • You explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • You work well on your own, in teams and remotely, with a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adapt in a busy environment.
  • You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, software engineering or a related technical field.
  • Preferred: experience in the financial services industry.
  • Preferred: knowledge of domain-driven design and clean architecture principles.
  • Preferred: experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana or the ELK stack.
  • Preferred: contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities.
