Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, testing and maintenance of high-quality software solutions.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers to deliver innovative features and enhancements across the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews, applying feedback to continuously improve code quality and technical capability.
• Break down work into manageable tasks and contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning and delivery activities.
• Demonstrate completed work to colleagues and stakeholders through sprint reviews and showcases.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and help maintain engineering best practice within the team.

Requirements

• We're interested in hearing from people who are passionate about technology, curious about solving complex problems and eager to develop their software engineering career.
• You may have gained experience through academic projects, internships, commercial roles or personal development activities, and could bring experience in one or more of the following:
• Backend development using Java, Spring Boot or Python.
• Frontend development using JavaScript, TypeScript or React.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, including version control, testing and code quality practices.
• Experience working within Agile or collaborative development environments.
• Knowledge of cloud, containerisation or deployment technologies such as AWS, Docker or Kubernetes would be beneficial.
• Exposure to database technologies including SQL, MongoDB or Elasticsearch would be advantageous.
• A proactive approach to learning, receiving feedback and continuously developing technical skills.
