Description

Requisition ID: GAQ327R264.

You will join the IT corporate engineering infrastructure team, in an IT group that treats its internal services and apps as products and is changing how the department works so it can scale smoothly through rapid growth.

You will be a key technical contributor who owns and advances the company's core infrastructure and observability platforms.

The role calls for a software engineer's mindset, broad knowledge of site reliability and infrastructure work, and the skill to build dependable, scalable solutions for problems that are still immature.

You will build resilient, automated infrastructure that empowers development teams, and help keep the AWS environment cost-efficient, secure and highly available.

The company is a data and AI firm serving more than 20,000 organizations, including 70% of the Fortune 500, with its headquarters in San Francisco and over 30 offices worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Write production-grade infrastructure on cloud platforms, with AWS preferred, using infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi.
  • Run containerized workloads on Kubernetes (EKS or AKS), focusing on security, reliability and resource efficiency.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, including cloud-hosted and self-hosted runners for specialized builds.
  • Set infrastructure standards so new internal applications are secure and ship with logging, metrics and tracing configured from the start.
  • Create internal CLI tools, AI-assisted workflows and scripts that cut manual work for developers.
  • Work with Security, Engineering, Infrastructure and Support teams to deliver technical projects that support business goals.
  • Review peers' code, maintain operational playbooks and failure triage guides, and onboard team members onto the platforms you run.

Requirements

  • Have 3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong Python skills for scripting, automation and tooling (required).
  • Know Terraform well, including modules and state management, or Pulumi (preferred).
  • Have hands-on experience running production workloads in AWS (or Azure or GCP), plus Kubernetes and Docker fundamentals.
  • Have practical experience designing, maintaining and troubleshooting pipelines in GitHub Actions or a similar modern CI/CD tool.
  • Understand the observability pillars of logging, metrics and tracing, and have hands-on work with tools such as Datadog, Prometheus or Grafana.
  • Have shown you can own end-to-end tasks with guidance from Tech Leads, breaking broad technical goals into actionable solutions.

Conditions

The pay range for this role in Zone 1 is $136,300 to $187,450 USD, which is the expected salary range for non-commissionable roles or the on-target earnings range for commissionable roles.

Actual pay depends on factors such as job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and work location, and the company expects to use the full width of the range.

The total package may also include eligibility for an annual performance bonus, equity and the benefits listed below.

Details of which pay range applies in each location are published on the company's pay information page.

The company considers all applicants equally regardless of protected characteristics, and where access to export-controlled technology or source code is needed, it may decide whether to seek a U.S. government license and may decline an applicant on that basis alone.

Benefits

  • The company offers comprehensive benefits and perks, and the details for each region are on its benefits page.
