Description

The company is a cybersecurity firm that protects customers from attacks and runs large-scale distributed systems, handling close to 3 trillion events per day, a volume that keeps growing.

The team is hiring sensor Release Engineers who are eager to learn, adaptable, and able to run large, complex engineering projects in a quick-moving setting.

This role covers the full release lifecycle, from build execution and deployment through post-release support. You will coordinate releases across several teams, build automated release processes, and keep deployments across environments high quality. Operations work is central, with projects to improve tooling and deployment quality alongside it.

The ideal candidate has shipped software at scale to millions of endpoints, makes decisions from deployment telemetry, and has a record of improving deployment tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the release process from initial build creation through production deployment and post-release monitoring.
  • Run release builds for Windows, Mac, Linux, containers, and mobile, including first-pass validation and triage of test failures.
  • Set up and refine consistent release management processes and cadence.
  • Coordinate release work across departments.
  • Write scripts and automation for building, integrating, and deploying releases.
  • Maintain a release calendar covering multiple platforms.
  • Tell stakeholders in business units worldwide about release risks and work to reduce them.
  • Measure release effectiveness with common metrics and find ways to work more efficiently.
  • Design rollback mechanisms and standards for recording release performance indicators.
  • Run release blocker meetings and go-live activities.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience managing releases for software development.
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience with build systems and fixing build failures.
  • Ability to read test results and do basic debugging to spot recurring issues.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, a query engine such as Splunk, Python, and Go.
  • Problem-solving skills for handling several releases at once in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with the software development lifecycle, particularly Agile and Scrum.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional groups across divisions around the world.
  • Careful attention to detail and the ability to make sound, timely decisions.
  • Willingness to support critical release windows that may occasionally fall outside standard business hours.
  • Demonstrated experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, raise efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
