Description

The company designs, builds, manages and modernizes mission-critical technology systems that clients rely on daily.

The Security & Resiliency practice helps clients anticipate, prevent, withstand and recover from cyber threats and operational disruption, combining technical depth, modern platforms and continuous learning. Curiosity, collaboration and customer focus guide the work, and the company invests in skills development.

The role is for a Principal AI Security Engineer who secures internal AI solutions, agents, copilots, model platforms and frontier AI capabilities. It is a hands-on senior technical position: you write code, build controls, integrate them into enterprise platforms, and turn security requirements into reusable guardrails that measurably reduce risk.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and deploy controls for AI applications, agents, copilots and shared AI platforms.
  • Build reusable services, APIs, libraries, policy checks, automation and platform integrations.
  • Implement controls covering identity, authorization, secrets, data access, tool use, egress, rate limiting, logging and human approval.
  • Carry out AI threat modeling and technical security reviews, and drive the remediation that follows.
  • Write adversarial tests and automated checks for prompt injection, unsafe tool execution, misuse and control bypass.
  • Integrate AI security telemetry, detections, alerts and response workflows.
  • Lead through deep engineering work, reusable patterns, mentoring and influence across the enterprise.
  • The company does not currently require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. If you are placed at a client, customer or partner location, you may need to show proof of vaccination under that site's policy. Those who believe they qualify may request a medical or religious accommodation before employment starts.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years in security engineering, application security, product security, cloud security, software engineering, platform engineering or a related field.
  • Experience implementing authentication, authorization, secrets management, API security, logging, monitoring and secure development controls.
  • Experience building technical controls for the changing AI risk landscape.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD.
  • Ability to run threat modeling and turn the findings into working engineering solutions.
  • Development experience in Python, Java, C, Go or JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Preferred: experience developing or securing generative AI applications, agents, copilots or machine learning platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with AI gateways, model routing, RAG, vector databases, orchestration, MCP or model-serving platforms.
  • Preferred: experience with AI red teaming, adversarial testing, prompt injection defenses or automated control validation.
  • Preferred: relevant security, cloud, application security or AI engineering certifications.

Conditions

Full-time position. U.S. base pay target is $179,760 to $341,520, reflecting the minimum and maximum the company in good faith expects to pay at posting.

Actual pay may vary by lawful factors such as location, job-related skills, education, experience, certifications, licenses, internal pay equity and market conditions. Pay will never fall below applicable state, city or local minimum wage.
