Description

The company builds AI systems that let robots adapt, learn, and work in real-world settings, helping address the shortage of skilled workers in industry.

Its approach pairs perception, reasoning, and control to produce field-ready AI that manages risk, stays reliable, and improves through use on real jobs.

The team works on hard, large problems and is small enough that everyone solves them together.

Software engineers build the real-time back-end and robotics systems behind a flexible platform that connects robots, sensors, and other manufacturing equipment with the company's algorithms.

Responsibilities

  • Design modular, concurrent, distributed systems for perception, planning, and execution, with careful multithreading and synchronization.
  • Build robotic welding features that include automated tests and run with real-time, deterministic behavior.
  • Connect computer vision, motion planning, and control software to industrial robots.
  • Find and fix complex faults spanning real-time motion control, perception pipelines, and work across several packages.
  • Review colleagues' code and write thorough unit and integration tests.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, robotics engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 1, 2 years of experience in production robotics or C++ systems deployed in the real world, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong C++ skills are preferred.
  • Experience with ROS2, including publishers and subscribers, services, node lifecycle, or equivalent.
  • Comfortable with CMake, colcon workspaces, and dependency management.
  • Solid skills in multithreading and concurrency, including thread-safe, real-time, deterministic systems.
  • Proficient with Git, CI/CD, and containerized deployment using Docker.
  • C++ for high-performance, real-time systems development.
  • ROS and ROS2, including publishers and subscribers, services, and multi-package integration.
  • catkin and colcon workspaces with CMake build systems.
  • Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform (AWS), and CI/CD with GitHub Actions.

Benefits

  • Free lunch every day.
  • Flexible paid time off that you can take when you need it.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 6 weeks of fully paid parental leave, plus an extra 6, 8 weeks for birthing parents, for 12, 14 weeks in total.
  • 401(k) retirement plan through Empower.
  • Bonuses for employee referrals.
