  • Software development experience in at least one modern language, such as Python, Java, C++ or C, including object-oriented design and an understanding of advanced design patterns.
  • Experience with cloud-first design, ideally on AWS, including serverless infrastructure, dynamic autoscaling and container orchestration.
  • Experience with data architecture, databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or Oracle, SQL, and DDD, ER or ORM design.
  • Interest and curiosity about emerging web technologies such as GraphQL, WebAssembly, Lambda functions and MLaaS.
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices across the development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing and operations.
  • A background in software engineering and a drive to keep learning.
  • You learn from past mistakes and apply those lessons regularly.
  • Strong grasp of software engineering fundamentals and a preference for applying them to data-centric applications.
  • You know that most technical problems have several solutions, each with its own trade-offs.
  • You approach projects and unknowns with curiosity and like sharing what you learn with others.
  • You believe a team is stronger when it includes diverse perspectives.
  • You can see problems from the customer's side and regularly spend time with the customer experience to serve them better.
