Software Developer (with QAT experience)

Description

You will join a technology consultancy that serves public and private sector clients with application development, cloud migration, program delivery and service operations.

The role covers the full software development life cycle and includes hands-on coding. You will work from initial design through to building and delivering a high-quality product for clients.

You will have a lead manager on each project who holds overall delivery responsibility. They can guide you as you build your management and IT delivery skills.

The role also offers fast-track career development and chances to work with new and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build front-end and back-end systems and the integrations between them.
• Plan workflows and improve processes, with a focus on quality assurance.
• Turn customer requirements into design for new features.
• Analyse the needs of a project and design the overall solution.
• Talk through problems and ideas with your team every day.
• Take part in delivery across the whole life cycle of a project.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in the IT industry.
• A degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or a similar field.
• Curiosity about new technologies.
• Experience across the full software development life cycle.
• Coding experience in projects using Python or.NET.
• Experience with databases such as MongoDB, SQL or another document database.
• Experience with native testing or automated test frameworks.
• Experience with AWS or Azure, and with Terraform.
• Previous involvement in building and delivering major IT solutions.
• Understanding of agile tools and methods.
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
• A strong drive to advance your career.

Conditions

Hybrid working model.

You must be willing to travel to client sites anywhere in the UK when needed.
