SharePoint Developer / Consultant - M365

The company is hiring a senior, expert-level SharePoint developer to design, build, deploy and maintain SharePoint solutions that run on-premises.

The role suits a consultant working on SharePoint projects. Responsibilities

• Design, build and roll out custom SharePoint solutions across SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition.
• Create modern client-side apps and web parts with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
• Build and look after integrations linking SharePoint to outside systems through REST APIs and related tools.
• Write solutions with SharePoint CSOM and JSOM.
• Maintain, improve and modernise existing SharePoint customisations.
• Find and fix faults in applications, integrations and performance.
• Take part in design reviews, testing, releases and live support.
• Write and keep up to date technical documentation, deployment guides and support procedures.
• Work with project teams, technical stakeholders and end users to deliver strong solutions.

Requirements

• At least 5 years developing and supporting SharePoint solutions to senior level.
• Or, for the expert level, at least 10 years designing, building, deploying and maintaining SharePoint solutions.
• Proven experience with SharePoint 2016, SharePoint 2019 and SharePoint Subscription Edition.
• Enterprise SharePoint development and solution delivery, including custom applications, client-side work and integrations.
• Experience working in structured project delivery environments.
• Hands-on skill with SharePoint Framework, CSOM, JSOM, REST APIs, front-end integration and SharePoint customisation and extensibility.
• Solid knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Svelte, HTML5, CSS3 and JSON.
• Comfortable with Visual Studio Code or an equivalent editor, Node.js (LTS), npm or pnpm, Vite, ESLint, Prettier, browser developer tools and Git-based source control.
• Effective use of Git and branching strategies, and familiarity with CI/CD build and deployment pipelines.
• Secure handling of client-side configuration and application settings.
• Good awareness of logging, monitoring and error handling.
• Clear, thorough technical writing.
• A commitment to secure, maintainable and supportable solutions.
• Able to work within Agile, collaborative teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
• Clear written and spoken communication with both technical and non-technical people.
• Self-motivated, able to work alone or in a team, and keen to improve processes and share knowledge.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• French is advantageous.
