Senior Technical Training Engineer

Description

The Onshape Technical Training team is hiring for a senior role. The company builds software that connects the physical and digital worlds, helping companies improve operations, design better products and support their people.

The team is global and close to 7,000 people strong. The role suits someone who is well-spoken and has built engaging training material, including CAD models, documentation and video.

You will work with CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA and similar engineering tools, and you will explain what sets the product apart.

Responsibilities

• Become a go-to Onshape expert whom customers can trust for advice.
• Build realistic, detailed CAD models to use in training.
• Plan, deliver and record product training, both live and on video.
• Keep learning new skills, features and product offerings as they arrive.

Requirements

• Experience with engineering software such as CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA and similar tools.
• Experience delivering software product training.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience producing video with Camtasia, Adobe Premiere or a similar tool.
• Experience with Thought Industries or a comparable learning management system is a plus but not required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• About 5 years working in an engineering role or for an engineering software company.

Conditions

The salary range is $80,000-$113,000 per year. Pay within that range depends on skills, qualifications, experience and location, and is an estimate at the time of posting.

Candidates may also be eligible for a performance bonus and for equity programs in certain roles.
