Description

The company builds GPUs that power computers, robots and self-driving cars, and is now moving into AI.

This role puts you at the front of AI safety work on new technology.

The team is large, diverse and includes many strong engineers and researchers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and run cross-functional work to select and execute evaluations, with a focus on agentic safety: multi-turn tool calling, unsafe tool use, unintended actions, excessive autonomy and multi-step failures.
  • Track results for every evaluation, the analysis, and the mitigation and research plans that follow from them.
  • Turn evaluation findings into prioritized mitigation plans, each with a named owner, a committed date and clear closure criteria.
  • Lead end-to-end safety planning and delivery for Nemotron models, covering scope, dependencies, risks, resources and release-readiness criteria.
  • Turn technical safety priorities into executable programs across LLM security, frontier risks, agentic safety and hallucinations.
  • Set up and track evaluations that are multi-turn, multi-modal, multi-lingual, long-context and reasoning-focused, across use cases, domains, languages, modalities and model releases.
  • Create governance for reviewing safety findings, assigning severity, deciding release impact and escalating open risks. Make sure safety evidence, approvals, exceptions and risk-acceptance decisions are documented before release.
  • Spot program gaps and critical dependencies early, then drive decisions, escalations, recovery plans and corrective actions.
  • Build and maintain dashboards and executive reports on evaluation coverage, critical findings, mitigation progress, residual risk and release readiness, using AI for Code and AI for Work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, engineering, data science or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years in technical program management, engineering, product development, technical operations or a similar area.
  • A solid grasp of LLM architecture, frameworks such as OpenAI, Anthropic and Hugging Face, and model evaluation.
  • Working knowledge of LLM development, post-training, inference, tool calling, evaluation datasets and model-release lifecycles.
  • Experience running programs in AI/ML development, model evaluation, agentic safety, security, content safety, hallucinations and/or production releases.
  • Familiarity with AI safety risks including hallucinations, prompt injection, unsafe tool use, data poisoning, model manipulation and unintended agent behavior.
  • Experience with model-safety evaluations, red teaming, adversarial testing, security assessments or responsible-AI programs.
  • Ability to read technical evaluation results and explain their product, schedule and release impact to leadership.
  • Nice to have: experience with LLM agentic safety, security, red teaming, hallucinations, adversarial assessment or responsible AI.
  • Nice to have: experience defining evaluation datasets, rubrics, benchmarks and release gates.
  • Nice to have: ability to use evaluation data to make clear release recommendations and explain residual risk to leadership.
  • Nice to have: experience building or running multi-turn, hallucination, adversarial or agentic-safety evaluations.
