Description

Storytelling is at the center of the company's work, which covers entertainment built for every age and audience.

The Connected TV Engagement team is hiring for a newly created role that leads delivery of the connected TV roadmap, turning product goals into certified, high-quality experiences on every device while growing engagement on the platform.

The team includes CTV engineers, backend engineers, product managers, designers, platform partners and certification contacts, and mission leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Plan delivery end to end for the connected TV roadmap, from intake to certified release, across Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, Samsung, Android TV, Comcast and other platforms.
  • Work with product, design and engineering leads to line up timelines, scope and expectations across teams and platform partners.
  • Find dependencies across platform, backend, editorial and partner teams, and act as the point of contact for platform and certification needs.
  • Raise delivery and certification risks early, with clear ways to mitigate them, so releases stay predictable with no major late surprises.
  • Coordinate shared code for common features in TypeScript/JS, BrightScript and Swift.
  • Work with engineers on performance tuning for low-powered connected TV devices.
  • Track and report engagement KPIs for connected TV experiences.
  • Share progress, tradeoffs and certification timelines with stakeholders.
  • Ship releases on schedule that pass platform certification with minimal resubmissions, so the experience stays consistent on every platform.

Requirements

  • Extent of skillset may vary based on level and area.
  • Real curiosity about how systems work and pride in good workmanship, including tinkering and building projects outside work.
  • A customer-focused problem solver who can break ambiguous problems into manageable parts and find creative technical approaches to delivery.
  • A proven record of owning roadmaps, managing dependencies and driving cross-functional execution, with solid release planning, risk management and status reporting up and down the organization.
  • Solid understanding of system architecture, APIs and integrations, enough to discuss technical design with engineers and spot technical and non-technical risks early.
  • Working familiarity with CTV platforms and languages (TypeScript/JS, BrightScript, Swift), plus data flows, content pipelines and media formats such as video, audio and metadata.
  • A clear communicator who can turn user needs into technical requirements and back again, and who makes tradeoffs in time, scope and quality explicit to win stakeholder buy-in.
  • Uses quantitative metrics such as usage, latency, uptime and KPIs, along with qualitative feedback, to guide decisions.
  • Influences without formal authority, with strong facilitation skills to align editorial, product, design and engineering stakeholders across departments.
  • Comfortable reading and writing basic queries and building or interpreting dashboards, analytics and reports to track program health.
  • Adaptable in fast-paced, shifting news cycles.
  • A strong plus: experience navigating app store submission and certification cycles.

Conditions

The base salary range is $103,700.00 to $165,900.00 per year.

Pay varies by location, external market data, internal equity, skill set, experience, training, education and performance, and base pay is only one part of total compensation.

Accommodations are available for qualified candidates with disabilities during the application and hiring process.

Equal opportunity applies to all candidates.

Benefits

  • Annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives and program-specific awards may be offered.
  • Health insurance coverage and an employee wellness program.
  • Life and disability insurance.
  • A retirement savings plan.
  • Paid holidays, sick time and vacation.
