Project Manager - Mobile Water Projects

Description

You will report to the Project Management Leader for the mining market and run mobile water unit rental projects at client sites, covering installation, commissioning, operation and client follow-up.

You own each project end to end, including moving units to and from sites, keeping to contract terms, tracking finances and handling billing.

Responsibilities

• Run each mobile unit rental project from start to finish.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team across engineering, design, commissioning and production.
• Set project schedules and track execution against them.
• Oversee budgets, changes and contract addenda.
• Follow client approvals of project documents.
• Draft and secure approval for contract supplements and modifications.
• Plan and supervise delivery, installation and commissioning.
• Manage the mobilization and demobilization of units.
• Gather the information needed for billing.
• Build and maintain the client's trust, and resolve the issues they raise.
• Make sure ISO quality standards and health and safety requirements are met.
• Write monthly reports and post-project analyses.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering, hydraulic engineering, water treatment or an equivalent field.
• At least 5 years in project management and/or operations management, with a strong on-site focus.
• Ability to lead and direct a multidisciplinary team.
• Clear communication, both spoken and written.
• Strong planning and organizing skills.
• A customer service mindset.
• Ability to work autonomously and take responsibility.
• Knowledge of an ERP system (asset).
• Membership in the Ontario order (asset).

Conditions

You must be eligible to work lawfully in Canada immediately. The employer will not sponsor Canadian work authorization for this role, such as a closed work permit.

Pay range is CAD $90,000 to $110,000, tied to market rates for comparable roles. It is a guide only: the offer may be above or below it, based on your knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and internal pay equity.
