Principal Project Manager

Description

The company makes software that joins the physical and digital worlds, helping manufacturers run operations, build better products and support their people. It has nearly 7,000 employees worldwide.

You will lead consulting teams on client projects for aerospace and defense, high tech, industrial products, electronics and medical device companies. Client work may shape how those industries operate globally, and you will help clients use ALM and PLM technologies to meet their future goals.

You will work with architects and consultants at several levels on projects of varying size and complexity. You will coordinate closely with Customer Success, Research & Development, Workforce Management and Technical Support to define scope, assign resources and manage dependencies.

Responsibilities

• Run several projects at once, making sure they deliver value and quality on schedule and within the agreed scope.
• Organize internal staff and outside vendors so that multiple projects run smoothly.
• Keep a range of stakeholders informed with regular project status updates.
• Identify project risks and put plans in place to reduce them.
• Build and maintain a detailed project plan to track progress.
• Handle changes to scope, schedule and cost through verification methods and formal change management.

Requirements

• You need 8+ years of project management experience facing customers, delivering software for manufacturing businesses.
• You have led cross-functional teams and reported progress to internal and external stakeholders.
• You are a strong leader who handles escalations and solves problems well.
• You communicate clearly with customers and colleagues, in writing and out loud.
• You have solid working knowledge of project management tools and methods, including Agile, Waterfall and SCRUM.
• You hold a bachelor's degree.
• You must be a US citizen.
• You hold a PMP certification.
• You have worked on PLM or ALM implementations.
• You have experience with leadership.
• You can plan, build and track budgets.
• You are comfortable with the Microsoft Office Suite.
• You have experience with both Agile and Waterfall methods.
• You bring organized, analytical thinking.
• You have experience managing risk.
• You pay close attention to detail.

Conditions

The annual base salary range is $100,000 to $140,000, based on a good-faith estimate at posting. Final pay depends on skills, qualifications, experience and location.

This position is not eligible for employment-based immigration sponsorship, so applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
