The role is a senior technical business analyst position on the Microsoft Dynamics 365 (MSD) side of the company. You act as the link between business leaders, frontline sales teams, partners, and IT and engineering implementation teams.
You lead work to gather and turn complex business needs into clear, structured technical requirements for the company's enterprise Dynamics 365 Sales implementation, which covers both Commercial and Government instances.
The role combines standard BA work, such as requirements gathering, process modeling, UAT planning, and post go-live support, with a strong technical and innovative focus. After go-live, you use low-code and no-code Microsoft Power Platform and AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Power Automate, and Dataverse, to quickly build and prototype business solutions. Core IT then takes these over for formal governance and deployment.
Responsibilities
Run requirements sessions with sales, sales operations, and channel partner stakeholders, and turn their needs into business requirements, user stories, mapping documents, and acceptance criteria.
Carry out requirements interviews, gap analyses, and process mapping across core CRM areas: lead management, opportunity funnel, account hierarchy and DUNS, and partner relationship management.
Certify solution designs and make sure platform customizations stay aligned with out-of-the-box best practices.
Lead delivery from requirements through sprint builds, Data Validation Testing (DVT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), production deployment, and post go-live hypercare.
Build full UAT plans, write and review test scripts, coordinate UAT across business teams, and manage defect fixes with vendor and partner engineering teams such as Microsoft FastTrack and Infosys.
Support pre- and post go-live readiness, cutover, and the retirement of legacy platforms.
After go-live, use Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and embedded AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder) to prototype, build, and deploy light automation solutions.
Test and refine custom AI prompts, automated workflows, and seller productivity tools, and set up a structured handoff to IT for long-term maintenance.
Keep operations aligned with technical leads, enterprise architecture, and program managers across cross-instance data models, such as Commercial and Government.
Provide end-user support, troubleshoot operational issues, and guide junior analysts and operations teams.
Requirements
Hold a bachelor's degree or have four or more years of work experience.
Have six or more years of relevant experience, shown through work, military service, specialized training, or a combination of these.
Have worked as a technical business analyst or solution provider in enterprise CRM environments.
Have hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales, including Dataverse, model-driven apps, security roles, forms and views, and custom entity design.
Have written technical and business requirements, mapping specifications, and user stories, and have managed backlog refinement.
Have led complex, end-to-end CRM implementations across multi-sprint SDLC and Agile delivery.
Be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
Microsoft Dynamics 365 functional consultant certification, such as MB-210, PL-200, or PL-900.
Experience with UAT planning, test script creation, defect triage, and cutover and post go-live support.
Direct experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and with Microsoft Copilot or AI features built into D365 Sales.
Skill in prototyping low-code and no-code solutions and passing operational builds to IT engineering teams.
Experience with complex data migrations, DVT, and third-party or legacy integration patterns, including DMF, OData, and REST APIs.
A background in telecom, enterprise B2B sales operations, or partner relationship management workflows.
Self-directed, able to solve complex, unclear problems and manage tight release deadlines in a demanding setting.
