Senior Talend & Spring Batch Engineer

Description

The role is for a senior engineer with strong Talend and Spring Batch skills to work on large-scale data integration and processing projects in complex enterprise settings.

The company is a European digital services provider. Its portfolio covers consulting, application services, digital engineering, cloud, cybersecurity, platforms, and infrastructure services, and it helps clients through ongoing technology change.

You would join a team that builds and improves core data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data integration workflows in Talend.
• Build and tune batch processing solutions with Spring Batch.
• Connect Talend jobs into larger data processing pipelines.
• Keep data integration and processing solutions performant, reliable, and able to scale.
• Write supporting components in Java where needed.
• Write and tune PL/SQL scripts and work with relational databases.
• Investigate, debug, and fix data integration and processing problems.
• Help build out and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Work with technical and business colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Champion sound software engineering practices and take part in ongoing improvement efforts.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software development or data integration projects.
• Proven hands-on experience with Talend (mandatory).
• Proven hands-on experience with Spring Batch (mandatory).
• Strong working knowledge of Java, PL/SQL, relational databases, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tools and practices.
• Experience designing, building, and optimizing ETL and data integration processes.
• Ability to work with large-scale data processing and batch architectures.
• Experience in agentic environments is highly valued.
• English or French at C1 level.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Critical thinking and a drive to keep improving.
• Ability to streamline complex processes and find efficiency gains.
• Works autonomously, takes ownership, and acts proactively.
• Communicates and collaborates well with technical and business stakeholders.
• Comfortable in demanding, quality-focused environments.

Conditions

Hybrid work: 50% onsite and 50% remote.
