Data Engineer Internship (m/f/x)

Description

The company is hiring a data engineer intern in Lisbon to work on business analytics, with a focus on Power BI, data modelling, data cleaning and data quality.

You will help build end-to-end solutions that turn business needs into dependable, easy-to-use reporting, learning from experienced colleagues while picking up some data engineering practice.

Responsibilities

• Turn business requirements into complete data and business intelligence solutions.
• Build Power BI reports with visuals and intuitive user interfaces and experiences.
• Design and look after semantic data models and measures in Power BI that can scale.
• Link Power BI to Databricks and other business data sources.
• Use SQL and Python to clean and shape data, including building reusable views.
• Track and improve data quality, accuracy, consistency and how dependable reporting is.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently finished a Bachelor's or Master's degree in data analytics, business analytics, computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or a related field.
• Basic working knowledge of Power BI, covering report building, visuals and data models.
• An understanding of what makes a visualization clear and easy to use.
• Basic SQL and Python skills for cleaning, transforming, validating and analysing data.
• Familiarity with data quality concepts and careful attention to detail.
• Fluent Portuguese and strong communication skills in English.
• A teamwork mindset and the ability to turn business needs into analysis.
• Valued: awareness of Git/GitHub, data pipelines or other basic data engineering practices.
• Valued: hands-on experience connecting Power BI to Databricks or other cloud or enterprise data sources.

Conditions

Full-time internship lasting 12 months, based at the Lisbon general office.

Pay of €1.200,00 per month.

You must be available for the full 12-month internship.
