Job Details

The Senior Solutions Consultant-Infusion is a strategic, customer-facing leader responsible for driving complex pre-sales engagements and shaping value-based solution strategies for Cencora customers. This role partners closely with Sales, Product Management, and Professional Services to lead discovery, solution design, and executive-level presentations.

This role serves as a trusted advisor to customers and a strategic partner to Sales, owning the technical and workflow narrative from discovery through deal close. The Senior Solutions Consultant translates customer business challenges and operational workflows into differentiated solution value within their assigned portfolio/product, while also understanding and positioning the broader Cencora portfolio.

This role plays a critical leadership function by mentoring peers, developing reusable sales assets, influencing product direction, and helping define best practices that elevate the overall quality and consistency of pre-sales execution. The Senior Solutions Consultant is expected to operate with a high degree of autonomy, judgment, and accountability while driving measurable business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Solution Consulting & Pre-Sales Leadership
  • Lead complex discovery engagements and current-state/future-state assessments with cross-functional customer stakeholders, including operational, technical, and executive leaders.
  • Design and deliver compelling, value-led solution presentations and demonstrations that clearly articulate business outcomes, ROI, and differentiation.
  • Own technical solution strategy for assigned opportunities, partnering with Sales to influence deal progression, qualification, and close.
  • Technical & Healthcare Domain Expertise
  • Serve as a senior subject matter expert for assigned portfolio.
  • Advise customers on solution architecture considerations, including workflow alignment, scalability, integrations, and change management implications.
  • Confidently address advanced product, technical, and workflow questions from customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
  • Solution Design & Product Influence
  • Synthesize customer feedback, competitive insights, and market trends into actionable recommendations for Product Management.
  • Influence product roadmap discussions by identifying recurring customer needs, gaps, and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Partner with Product teams to validate new capabilities, positioning, and use cases with prospective and existing customers.
  • Implementation & Cross-Functional Alignment
  • Collaborate closely with Professional Services, Customer Success, and Implementation teams to ensure pre-sale commitments, scope, and customer objectives are clearly defined and transferable post-sale.
  • Anticipate implementation risks and workflow challenges to improve customer readiness, set expectations, and reduce post-sale friction.
  • Support customers during solution evaluation and planning phases to ensure alignment between technical capabilities and operational objectives.
  • Market, Competitive & Deal Strategy
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, buying behaviors, regulatory factors, and industry trends impacting healthcare tech.
  • Develop and support competitive positioning, win themes, and objection-handling strategies for Sales teams.
  • Serve as a thought partner to Sales leadership on complex deal strategy and enterprise pursuits.
  • Proposal & Commercial Support
  • Lead technical and solution content for RFPs, RFIs, and proposals, including defining scope assumptions, implementation approach, and timelines.
  • Support sales forecasting and pipeline health through technical qualification, solution validation, and deal risk assessment.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial leaders to align solution strategy with pricing, packaging, and value messaging.
  • Enablement, Mentorship & Continuous Improvement
  • Mentor and coach junior Solution Consultants and Sales partners, sharing best practices and providing informal leadership across the team.
  • Develop and maintain reusable assets such as demo environments, presentation templates, discovery frameworks, and solution playbooks.
  • Contribute to internal training, product collateral, and sales enablement initiatives that improve scalability and consistency.
  • Continuously refine pre-sales processes to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.
  • Education:
  • 7-10 years of professional working experience, including 6+ years in Solution Consulting, Sales Engineering, Pre-Sales, or Healthcare Technology Consulting roles.
  • Proven experience supporting complex, enterprise-level healthcare customers, preferably in hospital, pharmacy, supply chain, or clinical settings.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, systems, and regulatory considerations (e.g., hospital pharmacy systems, integrations, compliance).
  • Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with executive stakeholders and facilitate strategic discussions.
  • Experience influencing deal outcomes through value-based storytelling, solution design, and technical leadership.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear business value.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple opportunities, and operate effectively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Experience with pharmacy automation, RFID, inventory management, or healthcare supply chain solutions.
  • Familiarity with hospital information systems, pharmacy systems, and integration concepts.
  • Experience contributing to product roadmap discussions or go-to-market strategy.
  • Prior mentoring or informal leadership experience within a pre-sales or consulting organization.
