Senior Solution Consultant

This Senior Solution Consultant sits in the pre-sales part of the sales cycle, on the Proof-of-Concept team focused on AI. You will bring deep knowledge of Corporate Performance Management (CPM) and AI and use it to solve complex customer problems with tailored solutions for prospects and customers.

You will lead the design and build of custom solutions for specific business problems. The role also involves hands-on work with leading AI platforms to make the team more effective, from delivering solutions to everyday efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver proof-of-concept projects for complex business requirements that show where the platform beats competing products.
• Use AI tools to shorten the sales cycle and speed up internal workflows.
• Act as the functional and technical expert for the go-to-market team across the full sales cycle.
• Build working relationships with demo development, field sales, sales enablement, product management and product engineering to support POC success and your own growth.
• Turn POC results and prospect feedback into clear recommendations for product management and engineering that shape the product roadmap.
• Keep improving and scaling technical assets so POC projects stay high quality and efficient.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, technology, accounting, finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Cowork, Claude Code or other public LLMs to build process improvements.
• Ability to write LLM skill files for workflow efficiency or to build tools and interfaces that apply AI outputs.
• 3+ years of CPM experience in technical presales, consulting or similar roles.
• 3+ years designing, building and deploying applications.
• Experience with UX and visualization design, data transformation and desktop or SaaS applications, including writing functions, macros or scripts to cut manual work.
• A commitment to keep learning the company, AI and related data management technologies.
• Working knowledge of core CPM areas: consolidation, planning, reporting, data integration and event-driven visualizations.
• Experience running consultative conversations to uncover a prospect's business problems and shape the right solution.
• Skilled in data analytics or financial modeling.
• Familiar with the company or similar CPM platforms and related technology.
• Understands where AI fits in the CPM market and keeps up with modern technology to solve business problems.
• Solid grasp of database management, including SQL scripts and functions, Excel functions, XML structures and financial modeling.
• Able to lead technical discussions and explain advanced concepts to any audience.
• Detail-oriented and focused on goals.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Able to juggle several deliverables under tight deadlines in a demanding environment.
• Self-directed and proactive.
• Works well in a collaborative team.

• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders.
• Preferred: prior experience as a CPM administrator, services consultant or pre-sales solution consultant.
• Preferred: web application development with a modern JavaScript framework such as Angular, React or Vue, including connecting to backend databases.
• Preferred: familiarity or experience with VB.net, C.net, Visual Basic, SQL Server, XML or VBA in Excel.
• Preferred: exposure to finance or accounting projects or concepts.

Conditions

Candidates must be located in the US or Canada.

Remote work.

Travel for internal and external meetings, roughly 5-6 times per year.

Gross annual base salary of $175,000 to $187,500 USD.

Total compensation depends on experience, skills and location, based on objective, job-related criteria. Additional variable compensation and benefits may apply.
