The role is a Senior Software Engineer position based at 811 Excellence Dr, Bentonville, AR 72716.

Responsibilities
Find the gaps and changes between what customers and the business expect and what the current product or solutions already do, including per-iteration work when the team runs agile.
Sort requirements by type, such as functional or non-functional, and derived, imposed or emergent.
Spot likely risks and problems during requirements gathering, tell the relevant stakeholders, and propose fixes.
Help write user stories for components, applications and complex features on agile teams.
Help shape solutions so that processes and applications work together for specific components or modules, weighing trade-offs against business requirements.
Help turn high-level designs into detailed designs covering mock screens, pseudo code and functional logic for specific modules.
Write or configure lean code for whole components and applications, making sure they meet business, technical and non-functional needs, including maintainability, high availability and scalability.
Help choose languages such as JavaScript, Python or C, plus development standards and tools for coding and configuration.
Learn the basics of new languages and frameworks that will be useful for future work.
Write scripts that automate repetitive and routine work in CI/CD, testing or other processes where applicable.
Build telemetry features on your own when needed.
Make sure security policy requirements are applied during code development and configuration.
Turn customer requirements into test objectives, then design and run test cases for each component or module using suitable testing tools.
Find and report errors and defects across the whole component.
Track and analyse defects in components and modules, and run regression tests after every code change to confirm fixes.
Review defects from earlier projects to prevent similar ones.
Diagnose performance and availability bottlenecks in applications.
Run complex maintenance tasks on applications without supervision.
Track the right metrics to monitor application performance, and carry out corrective, adaptive and perfective maintenance and re-engineering.
Analyse application logs, maintenance records and performance data, and report your findings.
Judge which change requests are valid and feasible.
