Senior Software Engineer (Roku)

Description

The team builds and maintains the streaming apps that millions of people use every day, across connected TVs, web, mobile, tablets and consoles.

You will work with developers and stakeholders on software applications and features for the Roku platform, which is a major part of the global customer experience work.

The product group sits within Streaming and Games and covers a large set of media brands, operating as one company with one goal.

Responsibilities

• Write client-side code for streaming apps using standard industry tools and technologies.
• Work alongside senior engineers and take part in every stage of development: technical writing, code reviews, troubleshooting and release support.
• Collaborate with engineers, stakeholders and other teams through meetings and working sessions, often at a quick pace.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and shipping software products or services.
• Skill in client-side scripting, such as JavaScript or Python.
• Experience with BrightScript and SceneGraph is a plus.
• Experience building for streaming devices such as Roku, FireTV or similar platforms is a plus.
• Clear verbal and written communication.
• Comfort using Git for version control.

Conditions

Hiring salary range: $163,730.00 to $304,070.00 per year.

Pay depends on factors such as location, market data, internal equity, skills, experience, training, education and performance.
