Description

The Builder Platform team runs the internal platform that the company's engineers and staff use for agents, workflows and core engineering tools.

The team is the company's first customer for its own product. It runs real work on the platform with teams across the company, measures the productivity gained, and passes what it learns to the product teams and to an open-source framework that customers can adopt.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the Agent Platform, which handles deploying, operating, testing, governing and improving agents and agentic workflows.
  • Create and maintain the AI infrastructure agents rely on, including LLM and MCP gateways with guardrails, fallbacks, usage and cost controls, and model rollout policies.
  • Develop agents and workflows that take engineering work from issue to production and business work from trigger to result, with people setting the limits.
  • Own developer infrastructure for source control and CI, and build tools that make builders more productive and remove friction across the company.
  • Work with teams in Engineering, Product, Sales and G&A to find where AI could speed up their work or improve results.
  • Drive adoption of agents and agentic tooling across the company, and write the best practices and enablement materials that help builders use the paved roads.
  • Set up measurement and feedback loops covering usage, reliability and cost, so the productivity gains can be quantified and the roadmap guided.
  • Turn what the team learns into validated requirements for the company's cloud product, SDKs and Agent Harness, and contribute to an open-source reference architecture for customer platform teams.
  • Take part in on-call rotations to support internal users.

Requirements

  • Solid software engineering fundamentals and experience shipping and running production-quality internal platforms or developer tools.
  • Hands-on use of agentic coding tools such as Codex and Claude Code.
  • Working knowledge of at least one language common at the company, such as Go, TypeScript/JavaScript, Python or Java.
  • Experience building workflow automation or internal tools, such as CLI tools, services, GitHub automation or cloud automation.
  • Good judgment on when to standardize and when to allow flexibility, and how to cut friction without hurting reliability.
  • Ability to work across functions, including with non-traditional developers, and turn their needs into usable solutions.
  • Ability to combine data with qualitative feedback to set priorities and measure impact.
  • Clear written communication, including documentation that lets people help themselves.

Conditions

The company is an equal opportunity employer. Hiring is based on qualifications, merit and business need, without regard to race, religion, color, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, non-disqualifying disability, national origin, veteran status or any other protected basis.
