Senior Software Engineer (Cloud / React Focus)

Description

The Krakow engineering center is working with the D-Fend group, which is now part of the company, on a technology transformation: moving a critical configuration application to the cloud.

D-Fend builds software-defined counter-drone systems that detect unauthorized drones, take control of them, and land them safely.

The Cloud/Platform team in Krakow is being built to work at startup pace on the existing solution, using the company's cloud expertise.

You will build cloud-native backend services for a multi-tenant SaaS system and add React work for front-end integrations and end-to-end features.

UI/UX architecture and dedicated React development sit with a neighboring team, so this role is backend and cloud focused, with React skills used to support cross-functional front-end delivery.

The Krakow team runs a full-stack model in which engineers build and operate their own services.

Responsibilities

• Implement UI components, connect front-end views to APIs, and work well with the front-end team on tasks that cross over.
• Write clean, maintainable TypeScript for backend microservices built on Node.js and NestJS, and for front-end applications.
• Build and operate multi-tenant SaaS applications designed to make full use of cloud-native architecture.
• Own features end to end, from API design and backend microservices through front-end integration to automated deployment.
• Work closely with senior engineers across the company and D-Fend to share knowledge, clear blockers, and deliver quickly.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience, with solid backend skills and hands-on web front-end work.
• Practical React and TypeScript skills, enough to handle front-end work on your own and strengthen the Krakow team's cross-functional range.
• Solid experience with Node.js, TypeScript, REST or GraphQL APIs, and NestJS or Express.
• Experience building distributed services on AWS, Azure, or GCP, with PostgreSQL and containerization using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ability to coordinate with neighboring teams, such as front-end leads, on shared UI standards, components, and APIs.
• Bonus: experience treating infrastructure as code with Terraform, Helm, or Serverless Framework.
• Bonus: experience using AI development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor.
• Bonus: knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and mTLS.
• Bonus: experience with time-series telemetry pipelines and long-term storage tiering.
• Bonus: experience implementing and using observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Datadog.

Conditions

Senior, experienced-level position based in Krakow.
