The company is the FinTech division of the company. Its cloud-based front office technology is the base of the company Alpha Platform, described as the first front-to-back solution in the industry, working alongside the company's middle and back-office services.

The division has grown its headcount by over 135% in the last 5 years and is still hiring. It invests in its solutions, processes, systems and people.

The Alpha Platform engineering group is moving the platform away from monolithic software toward newer cloud-based technology, using Microsoft Azure, Kafka, Snowflake and related tools.

You will join an agile group and help build one or more modules of the CRD/Alpha Platform. Junior engineers receive coaching and guidance from senior engineers and leadership while building their skills.

Responsibilities

• Under senior engineers' direction, help analyse, design, develop, test and debug large, complex software changes and solutions across the CRD/Alpha Platform, including changes to core frameworks and other key system components.
• Work with Business Analysts to turn complex problems into simple, maintainable software solutions.
• Take part in the agile process: daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming and retrospectives.
• Attend on-the-job and formal training to grow your career.
• Gain hands-on experience with the following:
• Building single page applications (SPAs) with React and Angular on major cloud platforms such as Azure.
• Building React packages and applying best practices, including Redux and RxJs.
• The NodeJS ecosystem, including NPM and/or Yarn.
• JavaScript, ReactJS and TypeScript.
• Gain practical experience with object-oriented programming (Java and/or C), compiler or interpreter technology, embedded systems, operating systems, relational databases (RDBMS), scripting and newer or advanced programming languages.
• Learn to build event-driven architectures.
• Build knowledge of Kafka and/or Kubernetes.
• Learn to develop cloud-native services on Azure, AWS or Google Cloud, using Java and Spring.
• Learn Snowflake and SQL Server.
• Learn to build observable, operable cloud-native software that scales horizontally and follows modern architecture principles.
• Develop business knowledge in Portfolio Management, Trading, Compliance, Post-Trade, IBOR or Wealth Management.
• Build familiarity with testing standards and common supporting frameworks such as Jest, Cypress and Jasmine.

Requirements

• A B.S. or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics or another technical field of study.
• 0 to 2 years of professional experience, or equivalent college project experience.
• Interest in and enthusiasm for building high-quality software in FinTech.
• Ideally, you already have some experience with Java, PowerShell and batch scripts, and know C.
• You have worked with tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• You are eager to learn, willing to question the status quo, and think analytically with a focus on solutions.
• You communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• You work well with peers in a collaborative team.

Conditions

Employees are expected to work from the office 2-3 times per week.

The minimum salary is zł87,000 per year for the role in the primary location. If you ultimately work outside that location, the applicable minimum may differ.

Salary is set using factors such as the position, type of work, individual skills, job description, working hours, diligence, initiative, self-management, length of employment, availability, and quantity and quality of work, plus other objective, non-discriminatory criteria relevant to the company employees.

Employees may be considered for discretionary annual performance-based awards in addition to salary.
