Description

Every new hire must have experience with Microsoft Copilot or an approved equivalent AI tool.

The company is seeking a senior developer for DevSecOps pipeline work supporting the U.S. Army's Scalable GEOINT mission at Fort Gordon, GA.

You will build, secure and run the DevSecOps pipelines and automation behind geospatial intelligence applications, which are critical to the mission.

The role helps update development practices, tighten security in the pipeline, and deliver secured applications reliably across the enterprise.

The ideal person has deep software engineering experience, strong Python, CI/CD architecture, automated security testing and containerized delivery. You will work with engineers, cybersecurity staff and government stakeholders to improve speed, security and readiness.

The company is a technology and professional services firm serving federal government and commercial customers, with solutions in cybersecurity, IT, software development, enterprise modernization, systems engineering and data analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, build and secure CI/CD pipelines for enterprise software, and keep them running.
  • Write advanced Python applications, scripts and automation that speed up development, testing, security checks and deployment.
  • Add automated security testing, vulnerability scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD workflows.
  • Build, package and deploy containers with Docker, Kubernetes and related tools.
  • Apply secure coding practices and automated controls to find and fix vulnerabilities across the development lifecycle.
  • Design, develop, test, troubleshoot and maintain applications and supporting tools.
  • Create custom apps, dashboards and visualizations that track performance, operational metrics and security compliance.
  • Automate infrastructure, configuration management and repeatable deployments.
  • Review technical requirements, help shape system architecture and design, and build solutions that meet operational and security goals.
  • Diagnose pipeline failures, integration problems, deployment issues and gaps in security testing.
  • Work with developers, engineers, analysts, cybersecurity teams and government customers to report progress and solve problems.
  • Keep technical documentation, development standards, pipeline configurations and deployment procedures current.
  • Keep up with changing DoD DevSecOps policy, security standards and government development requirements.
  • Help improve the modernization, reliability and security of enterprise GEOINT software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, IT or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to design, build, secure and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Advanced Python skills for applications, scripting and process automation.
  • Experience adding automated security testing tools to development and deployment pipelines.
  • Experience using data analysis and visualization libraries to build custom apps, tools or dashboards.
  • Solid grasp of secure development, automated testing, version control and deployment processes.
  • Experience analyzing software requirements and developing, testing, changing and maintaining solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to meet DoDM 8140.03 baseline certification requirements for the assigned cybersecurity work role at the start of employment.
  • Able to earn the computing environment certification needed before receiving privileged system access.
  • Preferred: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
  • Preferred: Certifications in other programming languages, software engineering or cloud platforms.
  • Preferred: Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, container packaging and orchestration.
  • Preferred: Experience with SAST, DAST, container vulnerability scanning and software supply chain security tools.
  • Preferred: Experience building and maintaining automated security compliance dashboards and business intelligence solutions.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with DoD DevSecOps policies, reference designs and secure software delivery frameworks.
  • Preferred: Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management using Ansible, Puppet, Salt or similar technologies.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting hybrid or government cloud environments, including AWS GovCloud or Commercial Cloud Services (C2E).
  • Preferred: Experience developing, deploying or maintaining applications in Risk Management Framework (RMF)-accredited environments.
  • Preferred: Experience supporting enterprise DevSecOps platforms, secure container delivery and automated deployment solutions.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Java or other enterprise programming languages.
  • Preferred: Prior support for Department of Defense, U.S. Army, Intelligence Community or classified government software programs.

Conditions

Active, final Top Secret security clearance required at the start of employment.

Must be eligible for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).

Must meet all applicable security requirements for access to classified government systems and facilities.

Based at Fort Gordon, GA.

Benefits

  • The work combines advanced Python, CI/CD engineering, cybersecurity automation and containers such as Docker and Kubernetes. You will solve hard engineering problems and build automation that improves delivery, security and efficiency.
  • You get technical ownership, challenging development work, and collaboration with engineering and cybersecurity teams, with a clear view of how your work supports military intelligence and national security.
  • You help shape how mission-critical intelligence software is built, secured and delivered, rather than only maintaining existing applications.
