Description

The company runs an operations platform for private markets, combining technology, data and fund administration for general partners and their investors. It serves over 2,300 GPs and more than 700,000 LPs, with over $300B in assets under administration.

The company was founded in 2014 and is founder-led. It has raised over $350M in funding and has more than 1,000 employees. It is building an AI platform called JunieAI that is embedded across its workflows.

Employees work fully remote or from physical offices. The company works across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg and England, and has offices in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore.

The engineering organization is growing by more than 90 people this year. This role supports that growth by improving infrastructure and reliability practices. The team looks for people who think like owners, move quickly and welcome open feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Own reliability and observability for the organization, covering SLAs and SLOs, instrumentation and on-call health.
  • Design, deploy and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure using Helm and EKS or ECS, along with core AWS services such as RDS or Aurora Postgres, networking and scaling.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo or Helm.
  • Lead adoption of Infrastructure as Code standards across several teams, using Terraform and, increasingly, Crossplane.
  • Work with more than 16 engineering teams to introduce new standards, tools and processes, adjusting each rollout to how that team works.
  • Take part in the on-call rotation and lead incident response and root-cause analysis for issues that span team boundaries.
  • Use AI tools every day to work faster, and help teammates who are less comfortable with AI pick up the same habits.
  • Bring the SRE perspective into planning discussions with engineering leadership.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10 years of experience as a Senior SRE, DevOps engineer or infrastructure engineer.
  • Experience at smaller or mid-sized, high-growth SaaS companies, from Series A/B through C/D. You are comfortable moving fast and handling ambiguity rather than working in a large, slow-moving organization.
  • Deep hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS or ECS), GitHub Actions, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines and Helm or Argo.
  • Real database experience with Postgres and DocumentDB (Mongo) on RDS or Aurora.
  • A record of cross-functional work, including managing timelines, setting expectations and collaborating with engineers on other teams.
  • You already use AI in your day-to-day work, for coding, debugging and design.
  • Preferred:
  • Crossplane
  • Datadog
  • Strong qualities:
  • You act before being asked and fix problems without waiting for permission.
  • You can drive change across teams that have different priorities and may push back.
  • You can explain your technical decisions in depth, covering both how and why, not only what.
