Description

The company is a platform for private markets, working with over 2,300 GPs and supporting more than $300B in assets under administration and 700,000+ LPs. It was founded in 2014, has raised over $350M, and has more than 1,000 employees.

The culture favours owners' thinking, fast action, open debate, and open feedback, with a focus on hard problems for customers.

Teams work fully remote or in offices, across 27 U.S. states, 2 Canadian provinces, India, Luxembourg, and England. Physical offices are in San Francisco, New York City, Mumbai and Bangalore.

The team is a core product squad with broad scope across the platform. This is an individual contributor role with full ownership of the user experience in your product area, contributing to the design system, and working with product managers and engineers to ship customer-facing work.

Designers at this level are expected to use the full range of modern tools, including AI. You might frame a problem in an LLM, prototype an interaction in Cursor or Claude Code, or build a polished developer reference in Figma. What matters is good judgment about what best serves the customer and the team.

Responsibilities

  • Own the work end to end in whatever form suits the team and engineering: annotated flows, coded prototypes, LLM-generated specs using design system context, or Figma files.
  • When handing off, make sure files are complete, accurate and consistent with the design system.
  • Solve hard problems in your product domain with simple solutions. Users work with complex financial data, so the complexity belongs in the craft rather than the interface.
  • Shape the UX of AI features such as proactive recommendations, generative summaries and predictive insights, with attention to trust and transparency so enterprise customers see them as reliable.
  • Research user needs through customer conversations, quick tests and product analytics, and measure the impact of your designs. Use research to move faster, not as a gate.
  • Work with product managers, engineers and stakeholders to align on strategy so design serves both the business and users. You own the design relationship for your product area.
  • Improve and expand the design system, promoting consistency and pattern reuse across the product suite.
  • Give and receive feedback with peers on the design team to raise the quality of the work.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer, with a substantial portfolio of shipped work across the full development lifecycle.
  • Proven experience designing complex B2B or enterprise SaaS products, ideally in a data-heavy domain.
  • Fluent in Figma, including component libraries, auto-layout and developer-ready handoff files, and comfortable with AI tools such as LLMs, Cursor and Claude Code, even if you do not write production code.
  • Experience designing AI or ML features with strong attention to trust, explainability and error states.
  • Able to work autonomously and deliver high-quality work without significant direction.
  • Strong written, verbal and visual communication, able to explain design decisions clearly to engineers, PMs and executives.
  • A portfolio that shows deep UX thinking, clear user journeys and a high level of visual polish.
  • Preferred: experience contributing to or maintaining a multi-platform design system, including pattern documentation and component creation.
  • Preferred: background in financial services, investment management, real estate or adjacent industries.
  • Preferred: track record designing complex tables, filters and data visualisations.
  • Preferred: experience planning and running customer interviews or usability tests.
  • Preferred: based in the SF Bay Area to collaborate in person with local teams.
