The company is hiring a self-motivated Senior Signalling System Engineer for a role that moves between day-to-day administration and longer-term strategy. The job is in Brisbane, Australia, and suits someone who works well when priorities shift quickly.

Responsibilities

• Track and manage system and functional requirements across the whole project lifecycle, covering both design and testing.
• Identify and manage interfaces between subsystems and with external parties, within the agreed project scope.
• Make sure System Engineering technical documents are delivered on schedule, within budget and to quality, and that system integration documents are verified against the V&V Plan.
• Propose improvements and updates to design standards as processes and technology change.
• Help put in place sound, effective technical solutions, including working with the customer on interfaces.
• Carry out System Engineering studies for the project, such as fleet sizing calculations and operational scenario definition.
• Run System Integration tests on time and to a high standard.

Requirements

• A degree in Electrical, Electronic or Computer Engineering or Information Technology, or an equivalent technical background.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in transportation system engineering.
• A customer and market focus that creates value.
• A track record of hitting assigned targets and developing people.
• Business awareness, teamwork and experience working internationally.
• Ability to lead innovation and manage change.
