Senior Salesforce Developer

Description

The team builds and maintains enterprise solutions on the Salesforce platform. You would take work from solution design through development, deployment, integration changes and production support, and keep improving existing functionality as business needs shift.

The client provides vehicle lifecycle solutions and is headquartered in Chicago. Its platform links 350+ insurance companies and 24,000+ repair facilities, along with parts suppliers and third-party data and service providers.

The company is an AI-first global technology firm with 25+ years of engineering experience, 2,000+ staff and 500+ active projects for Fortune 500 clients such as HBO, Microsoft, Google and Starbucks.

Responsibilities

• Check business, functional and technical requirements, then choose a workable solution approach
• Mentor team members and guide them on Salesforce best practice and CCC-approved design standards
• Build and ship scalable, high-performance solutions across the Salesforce ecosystem
• Work with Salesforce developers, ETL teams, business analysts and other cross-functional partners to deliver end-to-end solutions
• Review existing systems, find areas to improve and recommend changes that support business goals
• Diagnose complex system issues through detailed root-cause analysis and see them resolved promptly
• Advise on scope, development effort and technical feasibility of requests
• Research and test new tools, technologies and practices to raise solution quality
• Run architecture, design and code reviews to keep implementations maintainable and scalable
• Take part in sprint planning, project planning, release coordination and Agile ceremonies
• Give regular progress updates in daily Scrum meetings and in status reports

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on Salesforce development experience with strong command of core platform features
• Deep knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and overall platform architecture, including data modeling, security and automation frameworks
• Advanced experience with Apex triggers and classes, Lightning Web Components, Aura, Visualforce, Batch Apex, Queueable Apex, Flows, and REST/SOAP integrations using JSON and XML
• Strong troubleshooting skills for production issues such as automation failures, Apex exceptions and integration errors
• Thorough understanding of the Force.com framework, governor limits, integration patterns and Salesforce design best practice
• Comprehensive knowledge of sharing and security models, custom object and field setup, data management, workflows, validation rules, page layouts and integration troubleshooting
• Upper-Intermediate English
• Preferred: Platform Developer I and II, Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Sales Cloud and Service Cloud certifications
