Description

The company makes a cloud security platform, the company Zero Trust Exchange, which connects users, devices and applications in any location and protects customers from cyberattacks and data loss. It runs across more than 200 public data centers worldwide plus thousands of private edge sites, making it the largest in-line cloud security platform in the world.

The company describes its direction as Human + AI, building an AI-native organisation. It is guided by customer focus and by three behaviours: ownership with collaboration, trust built through outcomes, and a culture of open challenge and ongoing feedback.

The role is a hybrid position based in Perth. You report to the Senior Sales Engineering Manager in the APJ Field Sales department and help customers move from legacy network and perimeter designs to Zero Trust architecture using the Zero Trust Exchange.

Responsibilities

  • Work with account teams to learn each customer's business and technical priorities, shape the solution approach and move complex enterprise deals forward across ANZ.
  • Lead technical discovery, then design security architectures that fit customer needs and present them through custom demos, proofs of concept and technical workshops.
  • Become a trusted advisor to customer stakeholders at every level, from hands-on practitioners to senior executives, across evaluation and rollout.
  • Own the technical side of the sales cycle: handle objections and risks, bring in specialist resources and turn customer needs into distinct solution proposals.
  • Grow the team's skills by mentoring sales engineering colleagues, sharing reusable technical practices and working with sales, product and services teams.

Requirements

  • Comfort with ambiguity. You are happy to work out the path while moving forward, and you see unclear situations as material to build something useful from.
  • Ownership and a bias for action, with the ability to move between high-level strategy and hands-on delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving. You tackle the hardest challenges head-on and focus on the solution, since those carry the biggest impact.
  • A high-trust team player who looks out for the team as well as yourself, and who gives and accepts ongoing feedback with clarity and respect.
  • A learner with a growth mindset who actively seeks feedback to improve as a partner and teammate.
  • Foundational understanding of AI and ML technologies, and experience using, securing or positioning AI-driven solutions to improve outcomes in your area.
  • Proven success in a customer-facing sales engineering, solutions consulting or similar technical role on complex enterprise deals.
  • Proven ability to lead technical discovery and deliver tailored presentations, demos and proofs of concept that address customer requirements and business outcomes.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building and collaboration skills, with the confidence to engage senior customer stakeholders and sales teams.
  • A self-directed, customer-first approach, with a record of managing competing priorities and working across a geographically spread team.
  • Preferred: familiarity with enterprise AI adoption risks, AI security frameworks or industry AI security certifications, plus experience using AI tools to speed up technical sales work.
  • Preferred: strategic enterprise experience with large, complex customer environments across ANZ, including executive engagement and multi-stakeholder evaluations. Mining industry experience is highly valued.
  • Preferred: hands-on technical exposure to enterprise networking, Zero Trust architecture, SASE or SSE, secure access, cloud security, data protection or identity security.
