The company is building a full AI stack, from its Colossus supercomputers to its Grok models and the applications built on them, including a business agent, an AI coding product built on the company, and an image, voice and X integration.
This role sits in the Customer Success organization and is based in Sydney. You will work alongside AI Deployment Managers and own the technical side of each engagement: architecture, workflow redesign and enterprise security.
The work is about moving customers from early interest to AI workflows their teams use daily, starting with real pain points in how people work and how software gets built.
The strongest candidates combine technical depth with product sense and a strong sense of ownership. You will be equally at home debugging a CI pipeline and speaking with executives such as CTOs, CROs, CMOs, CFOs and COOs about where AI changes the business and its software.
Responsibilities
Help engineering teams adopt the company's AI coding product across strategic organizations by wiring it into real codebases and production pipelines, not just demos.
Set up developer environments, repository rules and coding conventions, then run hands-on training that leads to lasting use.
Introduce agent-assisted practices into the customer's delivery cycle, covering planning, implementation, testing, CI and code review, and remove developer workflow friction as you find it.
Keep your own hands-on skills current by building and shipping working, convention-following code with the AI coding product.
Work with business users to turn their problems into accepted user stories and requirements that flow into Jira and then through the agent-assisted development process.
Lead discovery for knowledge-work and business-process use cases, and redesign high-value workflows around AI agents, enterprise tools, data and human judgment.
Help customers run their agents with clear ownership, integrations and guardrails.
Create a data governance and security framework that lets leadership roll out the platform across the whole enterprise.
Turn successful deployments into reusable patterns so engineering organizations can expand from isolated use to company-wide adoption.
Work with ADMs and Account Executives to identify and pursue large expansion opportunities.
Build relationships across multiple teams with developers, platform owners, engineering and business leaders and executive sponsors, and win over skeptics.
Lead architecture reviews and working sessions, and advise on what to build, developer productivity, workflow design, governance and adoption strategy.
Prototype with customers by connecting systems, designing agents and workflows, and debugging failures until ideas become working systems.
Work with CISOs and platform owners on trust boundaries, including identity, permissions, data access, connectors and MCPs, execution environments, network controls, audit trails and human approval, and bring in specialists when needed.
Prepare with ADMs from the first meeting through active participation, and coordinate with Sales, Product and Engineering to clear customer blockers.
Show customers the measurable value of adoption, such as faster iteration, developer productivity, engineering quality and workflow efficiency, and help them explain it internally.
Help teams standardize on the platform and embed it in core workflows, and lead recovery plans when adoption slows or competing tools gain ground.
Bring structured feedback, emerging patterns and enterprise requirements from strategic customers to Product and Engineering.
Co-design new capabilities with lighthouse customers whose deployments set the standard for the market.
Requirements
Strong technical background in APIs, software architecture, cloud infrastructure, data, identity, security and enterprise integrations, often from software engineering, forward-deployed engineering, solutions architecture, platform, developer tooling or business-process automation.
Solid understanding of developer workflows, SDLC tooling, CI/CD, code review and enterprise engineering environments, ideally with hands-on use of the company or similar AI coding tools.
Customer-facing technical experience as a solutions architect, solutions engineer, forward-deployed engineer, technical account manager, enterprise architect or integration consultant, working hands-on with engineers while advising technical leaders.
High drive, ownership, curiosity, adaptability and systems thinking, with careful preparation and comfort working through uncertainty.
Experience designing workflows that span tools, data, APIs and human processes, not only IDE-based developer work.
Working knowledge of security and compliance, or a clear route to it, and the ability to walk customers through scenario-based guardrails.
Clear communication with technical, executive and business audiences, and good instincts for discovery, workflow design and adoption strategy.
A genuine interest in developer tooling and in how AI will change software engineering and knowledge work.
